I've never though to myself "Ya, Butler can carry a team to a world championship"

I feel like we’re watching two different things then because Butler has felt that way like four times already. Do you remember how close he was to beating the Lakers in 2020?

The Lakers owned that series. Not once did I feel Miami had a chance. They were a 5-seed iirc, kinda fluked their way in cause the bubble was so bizarre.

Lol that was because of Jimmy Butler! The Heat didn’t have a chance, but stretched that series to six specifically because of him. Sort of like how the Pacers never actually had a shot vs the Bulls.

You were probably too young for the '98 Eastern Conference Finals..

The Pacers should hang a banner for taking a dynasty Bulls team to 7 games. They might've been the only one.

Butler also had Dragic and Bam hurt for most of the series. He beat the Lakers in Game 3 with a starting lineup of him, Jae Crowder, rookie Tyler Herro, Meyers Leonard and Duncan Robinson

i have unquantifiable corpses on my conscience

Jimmy Butler was a damn hero (for basketball) that series. An all-time performance.

LeBron is unbelievable. Don't understand how anyone can hate on him. He just didn't have it offensively tonight, looked completely gassed in the 4th and yet, he came up with key buckets in the clutch when the Lakers needed him the most. He's in year 20. Unreal.

The Lakers should finish this series off by Game 6, maybe sooner if the dominant offensive AD shows up.

SAVE US DENVER YOU’RE OUR ONLY HOPE (though I do wanna see CP3 get a ring)

PHX is a weird case. The franchise has never won a ring and have had an ungodly history of being snakebitten, but they have some polarizing players in KD/CP3/Booker that aren't exactly universally beloved.

All this Butler talk and it hasn’t even come up that he was an ill-timed breeze away from getting the Heat to the NBA Finals last year too. Just bad luck on all sides of buzzer beaters.

who woulda thought 36 from Brook Lopez wouldn’t be enough on the night!
