  • rsaline changed the title to Creamer Concept World Cup - Groups A&B - SUBMIT!
  • rsaline changed the title to Creamer Concept World Cup - Groups A&B - VOTE NOW!

Voting is here! We received 19 submissions for the teams from Groups AB, and there’s lots of great talent on the boards!

Voting for Group AB will last from Wednesday, November 16, through Saturday, November 19. All CCSLC members are invited to vote on concepts, but you may not vote for your own design. Members should vote on their top four ranked concepts. You can vote for multiple concepts for the same team.

Points will be awarded for all votes as follows:

  • First Place:           4 pts
  • Second Place:     3 pts
  • Third Place:         2 pts
  • Fourth Place:      1 pt

The top four (4) entries from this group will advance to the Knockout Tournament. In the event of a tie, a tiebreaker will be awarded to the entry with the most first place votes:

  • If first place votes are tied, second place votes are used as the tiebreaker
  • If second place votes are tied, third place votes are used as the tiebreaker
  • If third place votes are tied, fourth place votes are used as the tiebreaker
  • If fourth place votes are tied, a coin flip is used as the tiebreaker

If something looks wrong with your concept or description, let me know and we can try to get it fixed.

Feel free to read through the post below to see all of the concepts and descriptions from the designers, or you can look at the full album here.

Here is a live-ish link to voting: Live Voting (Group AB)

The aim of this set was to incorporate as much of Senegal's flag into the design elements as possible, as well as some traditional African style patterns to accentuate the kits.

The new Wales logo puts a contemporary spin on Wales’ hallmark red dragon crest. The home kit features a classic red base with angled striping. The away kit reimagines the stripes from Wales’ 1992 away jersey, supplemented by a modern floral pattern.

The new crest uses the lion head featured in the country's crest as well as OnsOranje (our team) which is the mantra for the national team. The kits feature the timeless Netherlands orange with some other features to differentiate from past kits.

Wales are experiencing a golden age with their national team and are once again feared in the world. This redesign of its concept is based on three main values:
national pride, history (they are the third oldest federation in the world) and fierce and competitive character of a dragon.

🇶🇦 Qatar #1 (by kb105)

For Qatar’s first World Cup, the primary uses a center stripe inspired by Al Sadu weavings. The clash uses hoops inspired by the design of the Qatari flag and the national emblem. The crest is inspired by the emblem, replacing the palm trees with the national tree, the sidra tree.

For the US, I chose America’s other symbolic native bird, the turkey, combined with the Washington monument and iconic flag stripes. The jerseys take inspiration from historic hoops and sash kits creating a modern, unified look. The scarf is inspired by the popular supporters’ “I Believe” chant.

The crest features a cross inspired by the famous windmills of the Netherlands, all contained within the iconic Dutch tulip. The iconic orange primary kit features the repeating windmill pattern, and the clash kit features a tulip pattern that’s colored to resemble a map of the Dutch shoreline.

Qatar’s design is evocative of key cultural aspects. The crest resembles the sails of a traditional Dhow boat, the home kit features a zig-zag pattern inspired by the national flag, and the away kit features a tonal wave pattern, linking to both the sand and sea that defines Qatar’s geography.

🇪🇨 Ecuador #2 (by dsaline97)

Ecuador's new crest features the return of the Andean Condor, a cultural fixture and symbolizes the nation's greatness and strength. The primary jersey's diagonal feather pattern represents a sash from kits of the 50s–70s. The trim on the clash is derived from patterns found at the renowned Otavalo artisan markets.
