Jason White calls it a career...

That's right, 2003 Heisman winner Jason White has announced his retirement. What a shame. He won't have the opportunity to hold the clipboard in Tennessee. Seriously with White never playing a down (and Eric Crouch before him) the Heisman has become a joke.

I'm sure that someone has already posted this somewhere, so I will wait for that someone to inform me of my transgression. Until then, enjoy.

I am sick and tired of all the idiots who think the Heisman is an automatic precursor of NFL success. The award is for COLLEGE performance. Period, end of story.

Jason White will always be something neither of us will ever be - Heisman Award winner.

Okay...so we're idiots to think that the most outstanding college player should be able to even play in the NFL? And just because none of us will ever achieve a particular feat we cannot discuss that relevance of that particular feat?

Thanks for correcting my irrational thinking. Notice that I didn't say anything bad about Jason White himself, so there is no need for you to resort to name calling. It's a sign of a weak mind.

Bah maybe he dose not want to be a career back up and wants to move on with his career, I dont think anyone would have brought him in any way, without him first going to CFL or Arena first.

Wasn't he camping with the Tennessee Titans? ESPN listed him as "Titans QB Jason White."

he was undrafed signed with the KC Chiefs who released him and then the Titans gave him a shot. The constant, lingering pain in his knees led him to retire. He is going home to Oklahoma to ponder his future.

Apparently he's looking to coach football at some level.

From the "Tennessean"

After going undrafted this spring, White spent time in rookie camp with the Kansas City Chiefs and was picked up by Titans on May 9. He joined the rotation with three other rookie free agent QBs vying for the No. 3 position behind Steve McNair and Billy Volek.

--

White said he planned to drive home to Tuttle, Okla., where he would spend some time deciding what's next. Coaching, he said, may be an option. Spending time working at his family's concrete business is less appealing.

That sounds good sometiems its best to just focus on something else he has a sot in coaching I woudl say why not. Maybe one day he will make it to the NFL as a Coach or be a head Coach in NCAA.

seeing as how this guy was in college for like 12 years shouldnt he have at least earned a bachelors degree. perhaps he should use that to get a job rather than resorting to working at his family's concrete business.

You are seriously an idiot.

The Heisman is for excellence in COLLGE FOOTBALL....

Now i'm not sure if you have the brain power to grasp this, but College Football is a lil' bit different than the pro game. Just because someone was a Heisman winner does not mean he will be a success in the pro game. It is a different animal.

Please pull your head out of your ass next time you think of making a uneducated remark.

What the :censored: is it with you people? If you don't agree with a post, that person's automatically an idiot? You can't debate and discuss without resorting to name calling?

Fine, I will sink to your level. ":censored: you and the boat you rode in on, b*tch."

See, how stupid does that make someone look. It's fine if you don't agree with me. It's even fine if you can refute my point with some logic rather than resorting to calling people names. If you really want to see how much of an idiot I am, please come to Alexandria, Virginia, and I will personally give you the full display of just how ignorant I can get. In the meantime, just try to focus on the post, not taking shots at the poster. You don't know me, you don't know my background, you don't know my level of education. Make sure you know something about me before you try to call me out.

As I said before, name calling is just the sign of a weak mind. At least come up with a better name next time...someone already used idiot.

Maybe he was a Phys Ed Major, which would help with Coaching.
