HatCityEnforcer Posted September 12, 2005 Share Posted September 12, 2005 Just saw this...seems the Quad City Mallards of the UHL have a new alternate logo for the 05-06 season...They took the old logo head and put it on a new background (one of the various bridges that connects the Quad Cities together)...I like it...it's an improvement over the "Plucky Duck" logo (that's what the Mallards fans call it ) they have right now... Looks like it was briefly touched on here, but here's all of the logos together.Original logo:Most recent logo:New logo:Home jersey:Road:The jerseys are a bit busy for my taste, but they look like the Mallards to me again. And at least it's not their cowboy-night look from a couple years ago.Oh, and it's not an alt, like the subject line says. It's what they use everywhere now. Have you seen the Mallards' cowboy jerseys from last year? And here's what they wore before this year:I prefer the style, but not the colors. The current color set of maroon, green, yellow and white works for me. I can't find a pic of their original jerseys, but I prefer them to all of it. Simpler, not too cartoony... and didn't need the full team name on it.EDIT: Best I could find -- bobble heads with the old jerseys:Not perfect, but you get the idea.
