VitaminD
Attemtped murder may be a bit far. After all, we've all seen his less-than-pinpoint control with the baseball. What makes you think his aim is any better wielding a machete?Ugueth is hopefully not the plan B for the Phillies should Billy Wagner sign elsewhere. Ironically, I have Comcast SportsNite on in the background, and the Urbina story came on as I was typing. The Phils let him file for free agency, and do not intend to resign him, irrespective of what Wags does. (Is this arrest going to make him less desirable to a potential team?) "Start spreading the news... They're leavin' today... Won't get to be a part of it... In old New York..."In order for the Mets' run of 12 losses in 17 games to mean something, the Phillies still had to win 13 of 17.
STL FANATIC
(Is this arrest going to make him less desirable to a potential team?) Obviously for now it will.If he is found not guilty, I would still suspect he'll be less desirable, because with the kidnapping of his mother, this charge, and the fact that they have occured outside the country, he carries a lot with him. Even if all of that is beyond his control, teams will take it into account before being willing to sign him. BBTV
Ugueth is hopefully not the plan B for the Phillies should Billy Wagner sign elsewhere. At least with Wade gone we might actually have a plan "b".Also, what is funny (not haha funny) about this is that not only did they douse the farm hands with gasoline, but when that ran out, they grabbed paint thinner just to make sure they got the job done. While debating halloween costumes, one of the ones I thought of was putting on my road Phillies jersey, making a paper "74" for the back, and carrying a plastic machete and a red gas can. I didn't go with it because 1. I didn't think enough people would get it, and 2. I don't look anything close to Urbina.
