That is way to strange. I don't think that would ever pass as there team stuff. Just my opinion.

That is one of the best ideas ive seen in a long time.

That is also one of the worst color combos ive seen in a long time.

Use the Powder and Red and you have a winner. Oil isnt pretty, thats why they didnt use the color of oil.

I love the color scheme the way you had it first. Screw that baby blue stuff, what does that have to do with oil. I get so sick of uniforms that try to have some form of red, white and blue in them. Oilers, Bills, Pats, Texans, and the whole slew of others. I think the first idea was great, but I would get rid of the oil rig pattern on the pants, while I like it on the tops. It just looks bad upside down on the pants I think. And maybe outline the OIL rig style stripe down the middle of the helmet with a red or something. Overall though, I love the idea. It looks tough.

The number font isn't looking good for football uniforms in my opinion. The numbers shoulde be blocky. Same with the lowercase letters on the back, they just look odd. Granted, I've never seen lowercase letters on the back of a jersey, but it just doesn't seem right to do it. I like how you incorporated the oil tower(I forget the actual name for it) into the scheme. It looks really good on the helmet, not so much on the uniforms....well, at least on the road jersey.

its a really interesting idea - it could be better executed however. I agree the number/font set doesn't quite work here, and I am not a fan of the oiler sky blue with red. a switch to navy would be cool. I like the oil dereck (derreck?) as the pattern on the sides of the jersey and pants, but not on the helmet. I think the regular logo on the helmet might be good, or a different more stylized O with the numbers. Stick to white helmets, I think. Good start

Ditto.

My e-mail spellcheck say it is a "derrick".

On the good side, I love the sbutle negative-space effects to use the derricks as side panels. Very creative, and it gets the point across without being so obvious (although the ones on the pants shouldn't be upside-down; you could start them at the knee and taper upward - the Falcons and Cardinals have similarly-oriented triangles).

On the other side, the font is still too dainty for pro football in Texas. Uppercase/lowercase lettering is almost an absolute no-no for player names and team nameplate. The helmet logo is bewildering - a helmet monogram would more likely use an "H" for Houston, not an "O" for Oilers. And I don't know that red numbers work well on a Oiler blue background - try white, outlined in red.

In order for the Mets' run of 12 losses in 17 games to mean something, the Phillies still had to win 13 of 17.
