lahaye7
the days when the patches were big and on both sholders? I remember the cotton bowl, the sugar bowls, the king orange patches just to name a few. I don't care for the small corporate sponser ones on the chest. SteveR
No, I don't miss them. That was over-the-top in my eyes.Nowadays, you need room for your school's wordmark or logo, your supplier's logo and your conference's logo. And Navy's players had their military patch as well. FiddySicks
It seems that the only bowl that keeps that tradition is the Rose Bowl, especially when Michigan plays in it. I like the small crest logos though. On 11/19/2012 at 7:23 PM, oldschoolvikings said: She’s still half convinced “Chris Creamer” is a porn site.) I like the small crest logos though. The shoulder graphics on our jersey are done for every bowl we wear our home jerseys in, and are done by our equipment manager. We call them the "Big Jonny Special". They used to be on the whites as well back when we wore the old uniforms, but now really only on the navy. Though for the 00 Orange Bowl, we screened a "Michigan Orange Bowl 2000" on the front. You can kind of see it on DT's right shoulder:Other designs:
Discrim
heh, I figure you guys could do it on the new whites as well, what with there being shoulder room to spare. CFSize24
Michigan is the only school I can think of that still uses the large shoulder graphics. I think a huge reason you dont see the large patches are the disappearing sleeves. I know Ohio State only has room for the chest patch due to sleeve stripes and TV numbers. Penn State has room for them I will be curious to see if they use large shoulder ones or they go with the chest patches. MJWalker45
well Ohio State was the home side last year, so Michigan would be wearing their whites. Still, I actually looked forward to seeing what Michigan put on the shoulders, even though I am a Buckeye

MJWalker45
At least they tossed wearing that ridiculous BCS patch on the jerseys. now if they can just keep them off the helmet that'd be great
