Sweet jumpers!!!

My son was playing with the Kansas City Power for a year. He traveled around the midwest mostly playing weekends and tourneys.

He is in the army now, he states he misses it a lot.

Good stuff guys! :D

The Power (KC Club) gets the previous season unis from the Host team in Australia. Kinda of a hand me down thing - the ones they had the past season were teal/black/white with a lightning bolt and the text "Power" across the top/front. White numberials on the back.

Collingwood have been wearing their 2005 "away" jumper (completely black collar and cuffs) in the pre-season. Could mean something...or it could not :)

Yeah, no white piping on their collar or cuffs.

That's actually the 2006 jumper; you can tell because Wizard are sponsoring them.

Their Away and Clash jumpers have Wizard on the front and Fly Emirates on the back.

Only their mother can tell them apart.

So they have binned the white piping? Good, at best it was a pointless addition.

Gone-zo.

And yes, most agreed it was a pointless addition to what is essentially a pointless concept, that being a Home jumper virtually identical to an Away jumper with only the sponsors logos changed, but for one small difference.

Now, the one small difference is gone too.

What do you think of my new CCSLC inspired background?

I am not allowed to use the logos, so I've just done a little to present it nicer.

I've finished the Crows, and will start on the others soon.

I like having the caption on the image!

Not sure about the idea of the frame though. You definitely want to have another look at how you add the frame in - on Adelaide's 2006 home the yellow stripe is about twice as thick on the left as it is on the right.

Perhaps just use the same striping horizontally either side of the caption instead?

does anyone know what this years heritage round theme is going to be, i read it was going to be an 80's theme. if thats the case, most of the teams today are still wearing the jumpers from the 80's (the bombers and Kangaroos are still wearing the same style from the 80's)

so long and thanks for all the fish.

Plans we discussed on Wednesday night.

(This is not final, but the idea most clubs favor currently)

Adelaide Don't know

Brisbane - the 1987 Brisbane jumpers.

Carlton - a printed version of the 90's logo

Collingwood - 'New' Clash jumper (White with Black stripes)

Essendon - same as always, Black with Red Sash, but with red Shorts

Fremantle - Don't know

Geelong - Same as now

Hawthorn - Gold backs, and Gold socks

Melbourne - Royal Blue 1980's jumper

North - Same as current. Possibly printed lace-ups.

Port - Don't know

Richmond - Lace-up like 05 version

StKilda. Same, but the numbers will be like the 80's versions. And logo bigger

Sydney. 1987 jumper

West Coast - 1987 jumper

Footscray. 1980's jumper

Richmond's argument was they only wore them one season, in 1975. Why should they wear them to represent the 80's?

Essendon wore Red shorts 1975 to 1982.

West Coast wore Gold shorts twice. I don't think it's anything they prefer to remember, plus, they're away to Collingwood, so they'll probably just wear white.

It will be interstesting to see what Port, Adelaide and Freo come up with.

And I distinctly remember that on at least one, if not both, of those occasions we were wearing our blue jumper (it was a WACA game, from memory...)

Port should seriously push to wear their SANFL prison bars.

Freo should wear two jumpers - East Freo in the first half, Sout Freo in the second.

Adelaide...well, ummm...

well maybe if tigers wore yellow shorts in the 80's? lol haha

i would like to see Freo in purple and white hoops similar to geelong, i reckon that would look pretty alright, will match their socks

Port should wear something from SANFL 1980's and Adelaide could desing a jumper of what they'd look like in the 80's...or maybe sometihng like last years, that was ok

Back in those days you wore Home shorts each week, unless the opposition wore the same colour and you were Away.

West Coast only played one team Away that wore Blue shorts, Footscray in R11.

So they wore Gold shorts v Footscray, with the Gold jumpers, then were made to wear their Blue Clash jumper against Hawthorn, and wore Gold shorts with them at Subi R 18.

They wore the Gold jumpers with Blue shorts against Hawthorn in their Gold jumpers & brownb shorts in R5.

Adelaide should wear the 1980's South Australia state jumper with AFC (Adelaide Football Club, like they did last year with the 1930's South Australia state jumper) also if Ports Adelaide wears the SANFL prison bars jumper, it should have a printed lace-ups.

so long and thanks for all the fish.
