PeytonManningRocks
So let me get this straight..... the Raiders released someone who is a headcase and a terrible passer, with someone who just happens to be a headcase and a terrible passer? Coincidence.......
ANBC
I geuss I'm one of the few who thinks this is a good signing Brooks has so much potential and I think he can get back to being a dynamic/playmaking player, like his year in 2003 where he had 3000 yards and didn't turn the ball over that many times while putting the ball in the endzone quite a bit. He was too distracted last year with the whole New Orleans tragedy, now he can focus on football and do a good job with 'em.
VitaminD
He was too distracted last year with the whole New Orleans tragedy, now he can focus on football and do a good job with 'em. So that explains last year; what about... most of the rest of his career, going back to college?I got to see a lot of AB in college, and he still hasn't matured his game at the next level. He still makes the same bad reads and poor decisions that he always has. As you advance to successive levels of competition from high school to the pros, the athleticism of the competition rises accordingly. To be good in a league of premier athletes, you need to develop the rest of your game. He hasn't, and he continues to kill teams with the same mistakes he should have learned from years ago.He may work out for a while in Oakland, where he can gamble on some plays and do OK, and he always has Randy Moss to lean on. But he won't win the Raiders a big game against a playoff opponent, because he won't come through in the clutch. His mistakes will kill this team like he killed the Saints. "Start spreading the news... They're leavin' today... Won't get to be a part of it... In old New York..."In order for the Mets' run of 12 losses in 17 games to mean something, the Phillies still had to win 13 of 17.

Well, for the most part I agree. But ima give him the benefit of the doubt considering that he spent his career in the most abysmal place to ever play football. But, at this point, Oakland aint lookin much better... On 11/19/2012 at 7:23 PM, oldschoolvikings said: She’s still half convinced “Chris Creamer” is a porn site.) CS85
Brooks his entire career knew that the Hurricane floods were going to happen, and his game has been affected with that knowledge, but now that they've happened and he's got his head straight, he'll do a lot better know that he works for the biggest headcase owner in the NFL, handing off to Lamont Jordan instead of Duece, and passing to a primadonna who plays when he wants. paynomind
I'd take Jordan over Deuce. And Moss and Porter over Horn and... uhm... who else? NCFA Sunset Beach Tech - Octopi ΓΔΒ! BCBoy
I'd take Jordan over Deuce. And Moss and Porter over Horn and... uhm... who else? Actuallly, Stallworth had a much better year than Horn this past season, Horn was a big dissapointment but Stallworth picked up his game.
Intimidator85
Is this the best the Raiders can do? This signing is not an improvement over what they had at quarterback last year. They could have had Culpepper or Brees, but did not pursue either as hard as other clubs. I know the Raiders have been all about turning castoffs into productive players in the past, but nowadays there are good reasons why other clubs don't want the players they release.Brooks will probably play no better with the Raiders. It's going to be another long year in Oakland. I hope for his sake he does well with the Raiders, but it doesn't look good.
