josdin00
I submitted this to the main page, but I'm impatient, so I wanted to get this out. The script logo that the main page has for the Minnesota Vikings looks squished compared to what they actually use. Below is a link for a large un-squished version of that script. Beware, the image is large. I've noticed some Viking sigs on these forums that use the squished version, and I thought those folks might want this image available to them.I'm sorry if this is not the place to post this, but given the forum discriptions, this seemed the most appropriate place. rtrich11
The wordmark looks just as good smooshed. However, the Vikings need a new wordmark pretty bad. I like the feel of the font, but it's kinda out of date now. cafepress.com/artbyrichards

BadSeed84
The old stencil font was much better, you knew who the team was right away.
Burning River
Well, I'm 36... So, to me... the font in this topic is how I remember the Vikings. There was a day back at old Metropolitan Stadium where Ahmad Rashad caught a Tommy Kramer "Hial Mary" Pass for a TD. I remember the "V" at midfield. It was possibly 1980.But, the early Super Bowl (VIII) had the Stencil. Did they always have two?

And you're right, that V at the 50-yard line was there at the Met for a long, long time. The Vikingish wordmark that replaced the stencil wordmark has actually been around for a while, but hasn't been used much until recently. To me, it's a vast improvement over the stencil wordmark, which never really said Vikings in the first place.

TruColor
Here's the official version of the wordmark - in case anyone's interested:
rtrich11
Pantone's post shows a script without the long descenders on the "k", "n" and "g" as the first post does. For the stencil wordmark, I agree that it was unique, but never felt like "Vikings". cafepress.com/artbyrichards
Joshawaggie
Less than 2 years in existence and it's already out of date? The Vikings used it years ago, and slowly brought it back the past 3 or 4 years. @josh_j12 CFA- Fargo Bobcats
