oddball
It's a nice logo that is dropped from an "A" to a "B" in my books by one glaring problem, "BCS" in the logo. It's not that I have a problem with the BCS per se, well I do and don't, I just think they forced putting BCS in there. It looks too much like an after thought, like someone said, "Oh crap we forgot to put BCS on the logo!"
Shroinke
Wow, just when you thought sponsors couldn't get any more intrusive.... I can just see the announcer lines now..."Remember, BCS stands for Best Chips and Salsa!"

powersurge
Any reason why they decided to dump the idea of alternating the Bowls as the championship in favor of this?Does this mean we're closer to an actual tournament or should I just keep dreaming? Fred T. Jane
Any reason why they decided to dump the idea of alternating the Bowls as the championship in favor of this?Does this mean we're closer to an actual tournament or should I just keep dreaming?Just dreaming. The National Championship game will be rotated between the BCS bowls, with the game being a week after the host bowl game (i.e. this year's BCS championship game will take place a week after the Fiesta Bowl) [Croatia National Team Manager Slavan] Bilic then went on to explain how Croatia's success can partially be put down to his progressive man-management techniques. "Sometimes I lie in the bed with my players. I go to the room of Vedran Corluka and Luka Modric when I see they have a problem and I lie in bed with them and we talk for 10 minutes." Maybe Capello could try getting through to his players this way too? Although how far he'd get with Joe Cole jumping up and down on the mattress and Rooney demanding to be read his favourite page from The Very Hungry Caterpillar is open to question. --The Guardian's Fiver, 08 September 2008 Attention: In order to obtain maximum enjoyment from your stay at the CCSLC, the reader is advised that the above post may contain large amounts of sarcasm, dry humour, or statements which should not be taken in any true sort of seriousness. Slickster
Is 'NATIONAL' written in the Geaux font? The National Championship game will be rotated between the BCS bowls, with the game being a week after the host bowl game (i.e. this year's BCS championship game will take place a week after the Fiesta Bowl)So even if the Super Bowl never returns to New Orleans, at least the city will get the BCS National Championship Game once every four years.Yes, and January 8, 2008 will be the first time the game will be played in New Orleans. cmm
Any reason why they decided to dump the idea of alternating the Bowls as the championship in favor of this?Does this mean we're closer to an actual tournament or should I just keep dreaming?I believe this was done to give teams from non-BCS conferences "more access" to BCS bowls, since there will now be 5 instead of 4 (Orange, Sugar, Fiesta, Rose, rotating championship game).
