SB L logo

I wanted to make a simple clean design. I also think that for this Super Bowl the emphasis will move away from the roman numeral. I also added my own dream of a Super Bowl Stadium Casino Resort in Las Vegas.

Well enjoy.

WAY too much going on here. There's nothing that really grabs you style-wise, and the actual "Super Bowl L," that should be the focal point, is treated as an afterthought.

id imagine come superbowl L they will us "50"

also, surely the main focus of any superbowl logo should be the word 'superbowl.'

ive always found the NFC vs AFC thing a bit odd as the two divisions play each other all season anyway?

and "world championship" seems sort of odd as you dont even let canada have a team? (i know its not just your design that uses this particular phrase)

Personally, I'm not a big fan of the logo. Way too busy and segmented.

However, I have to say that I hope somebody digs up this thread nine years from now, when we're all dead and gone, to see how things turned out...

oh ,my god ,i strong recommend you to have a visit on the website ,or if i'm the president ,i would have an barceque with the anthor of the articel .

IMO, I don't think the NFL will move away from Roman Numerals ever. Once they get through that spell non-inspirational spell of L through LIII, the remaining logos should be fine.

In fact, last night I came up with some ideas for logos for LI, LII, LIII and even LVII that I may produce and display later (in addition to the idea I had for L that I've posted here a few times). Seriously, with some effort, it doesn't take to much to come up with something nice for any Roman Numeral.

i actually laughed out loud at that, first of all it's the world championship of american football, which canada does not play. you just made Canada sound like a disgruntled little brother because their big brothers wont let them play... Canada could most certainly have a team if they presented a solidfied reason to the NFL Expansion Committee why they should have one, they arent just gunna give them a team because there isnt one there yet. the Super Bowl is the world championship, period.

I think having a superbowl in Vegas would probably be the best idea in sports history. The money that would be spent/made on that would probably be the most ever for a sporting event. I love that idea that you came up with...but there would need to be some elaborite logo depicting the history/future of the NFL. I just dont know what it would look like. Good idea though!

Well I thought it would be a miss with a lot of you. But here was the the first SB logo.

Now they stayed fairly simple until this...

My goal was to make an updated version of the first logo. I wanted to minimize the Super Bowl L thing and not create a "cartoony" logo, which with the exception of XL, is the way things have been going.

But hey I do know were you guys are coming from.

At the time of the first game, it didn't have a name. There was nothing to call it but the "First World Championship Game...". I don't even think it was until Super Bowl III that the game had a title, and thus could be graphically represented as such.
