BigMac12
Give nothing up. The NHL would be better served with a team back in Winnipeg - it would be infinitely more interesting than the boring joke of a team they have in Arizona, surrounded by freeway offramps, senile retirees, and cactii. As a Coyote fan, I'm appauled at your statement.Mods, delete this tread, before things get out of hand. If Phoenix doesn't deserve to have a NHL team, the world would be infinitly better off if the NHL FOLDED!Mods, please throw this tread in the trash. Why? Because someone mentioned that they didn't like your hockey team? Grow up man.If that's the way it is, you need to grow a heart.Honestly, the world would be an infinitly better place if the NHL never existed. I'm a big fan of my Coyotes. But I'm also a big fan of their former self, the Winnipeg Jets. We've eve retired Hull and Steen's numbers, in Jet red, white and blue, at the arena. If I can't watch NHL hockey, then NOBODY should. How about that, leedsunited?I love your moxie.[sarcasm]Thanks.[/sarcasm]
FiddySicks
Well with the pierogies, I understand that Manitoba has a whole lotta Ukes, am I correct? I think we have you to thank for Bronko Nagurski.Very large Ukrainian population. Winnipeg has some excellent perogy restaurants. John Candy used to get perogies from Alicia's Restaurant in Winnipeg sent to him because he loved them so much.So thats what killed him. Damn Canadians. Theres another item to add to the "Blame Canada" list. On 11/19/2012 at 7:23 PM, oldschoolvikings said: She’s still half convinced “Chris Creamer” is a porn site.) Theres another item to add to the "Blame Canada" list. That's always been the joke. If it wasn't for those delicious perogies...But since Candy is Canadian, it shouldn't go under the "Blame Canada" list. At the very least, we should break even. To all those who are turning this into a mean-spirited "debate": Please take it elsewhere. It will be ridiculous if this thread gets killed because you guys. And last time I checked, the mods didn't appreciate people ordering them to trash threads when someone said something that you disagreed with.Let those who want to discuss the actual topic at hand, the film and its contents, discuss it in this thread. This is a great opportunity to talk about Jets memories, and people's experiences during the Jet's departure. Or just enjoy the humour of it all. Neon_Matrix
I REALLY enjoyed that video (and not just because it distracted me from writing an essay)! I have always enjoyed the Jets and do wish they were able to keep their team. If the NHL were to reduce the number of teams and keep the money-sharing scheme it has going now there is no dobut Winnipeg could support another team. Eliminate those who are sucking revenue from the Leafs, Rangers, Wings and the other big ones who can't gather the proper fan support. I'm sure if the Peg got another team there would be a GREAT amount of support from former fans as well as new ones. It could also help revive that shell of a city... maybe bring some tourism back and bring some new jobs along with it. I for one give my support to those wishing to bring the Jets back... and even if it isnt brining back the Coyotes just bringing any franchise there would be grear. Forget Kansas City, froget Hartford and San Antonio - bring a team to a place with gaurenteed fan support - Winnipeg!!See, not all Leafs fans are :censored:s... BigMac12
and even if it isnt brining back the Coyotes And what about the retired banners of Steen and Hull at Jobing.com Arena? Are the Coyotes NOT the Winnipeg Jets?

Huskyfan82
I'm an intern with the Coyotes. I find it humerous how every game, I see at least five people wearing Jets stuff. Usually I give them a thumbs up and tell them how much I liked the Jets, even before they were the Coyotes. I wonder if the Coyotes have the Avco Cup? Is it still up in Winnipeg? I'm glad Canada lost some of their teams. (Teams they wouldn't have had anyway if it wasn't for the WHA) No joke of a team should have to play there - surrounded by igloos and beavers in temperatures not even livable by many's standards.(Hey, I can be an ignorant fool too! )
