Rampart
Since I had so much fun doing a Pittsburgh Logo, I decided to play with a Detroit concept.
kewp80
I love everything except the font, I understand why you want that font, but its too hard to read IMO, fix that and this will be great! I hope you do a St. Louis one! Cardinals -- Rams -- Blues -- Tigers -- Liverpool Check out my music!

kewp80
That looks a hell of a lot better, what font is that? Cardinals -- Rams -- Blues -- Tigers -- Liverpool Check out my music!
DelayedPenalty
I like the original font, it keeps the automotive theme going, makes it seem like it should be on the hood of a car. Very nice work.
scottysprings
I think you could get rid of the whole crest in the middle and just use a soccer ball in place. Maybe add the fleur de lis, stars, or stripes as a background with the blue
Island_Style
Keep the original font. It goes perfectly with a logo and I do not think it is that hard to read. Great work!
Rampart
That looks a hell of a lot better, what font is that? It's called Howard Bros. from Blambot. Nat Piekos does some really great fonts that could be used in sports logos.

keeper
Some more tweaking:I think the original thick red border looks much better; personally i think the original crest with its coat of arms and font of writing was perfect- id be that jersey in a heart-beat
Perfect Zero
I love your first one, but there seems to be too much space between where the 'swoosh' happens and the word 'Detroit.'
Rampart
How about a mixture of the two. I made the coat of arms wider to match the Detroit flag a little bit. I wanted to use the flag as a mix of a coat of arms and a Cadillac logo.
I Am A Flaming Douche Bag
I love the idea behind your logo and it looks great, I always thought a good Detroit soccer logo could be like the highway signs in the states, Its like a shield with the top part being red, bottom being blue and the highway number inside... Rampart
I swear! This is exactly why I don't usually do concepts. I'm never satisfied. Take 5:Someone in the middle of all of these is a winner.
maz
If I understand correctly, the three lions represent Britain and the Fleur-de-lis represent France, therefore giving alittle throwback to the french and indian war...I like that.

It's supposed to represent the countries that have controlled the city. Top Left - The 13 stars represent the 13 colonies, Top Right - The lions represent England, Bottom Left - The 5 Fleur-de-lis represent France, Bottom Right's 13 stripes repesents the United States. I learn a lot about cities histories this way.

bigtex
I think Ford would be p***ed off if they used a crest that looks similar to the old Cadillac crest.
