I'll go with a 5 elderly people, 1 bonus under 60-year-old format...

Ronald Regan

Gerald Ford

Jimmy Carter

Pope JP II

Don Knotts

and bonus: Jake "the snake" Roberts

I hope none of these people pass away, so I hope I lose.

Yale, you joker!

but in all seriousness, ron o'neal died 2 weeks ago .... a moment of silence, please...and BTW 'superfly' was the drug, 'priest' was his character's name, huge misconception there.

I was using it as a contextual reference, not a character name per se, but it's hard to discern that in cyberspace.

Frankly, I'm a much bigger fan of Shaft anyway.  The original 1971 Richard Roundtree version.

i'm not saying it's you....when he died, the idiots on the radio were saying his character was 'superfly'.....and for my money, the best of that era was 'Coffy' w/ pam grier, 'Cleopatra Jones' w/ Tamara Dobson, or 'Black Caesar' w/ Fred Williamson and an amazing score by James Brown.

Ah, Shaft. THE movie with the most influence on my young, white, Canadian almost-urban mind.

"Quit playin' wit'choself, Willie!"

"Where do you think YOU'RE going, Shaft?" "To get laid! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!"

Ahhh, memories.

Anyway, on to the Dead Pool:

Nick Nolte

Gordie Howe

Ronald Reagan (His contract with Satan has to expire sometime soon, right?)

Nancy Reagan

Axl Rose (Weiland is soooooo overdone right now)

I am glad somebody is starting a Dead Pool for 2004, The last time there was an internet Daed Pool was back in 2001 when Car Talk had its  own "Cafe Datre Rant and Rave Board Dead pool" for 2001. There was no Dead Pool for 2002 due to lack of interest (read: 9/11/2001).

My Top 5:

1. Frankie Lane- Rawhide and other songs

2. Ferling Husky

3. Ed Sabol of NFL Films

4. Kitty Carlise Hart- To Teel The Truth and some Marx Brothers Flims.

5. Fay Wray.

Honorable Mention

1. Malachy McCourt- a Monk Drowning

BRING BASEBALL BACK TO MONTREAL!!!!

MON AMOURS SIEMPRE!!

1. Ronald Reagan

2. Pope John Paul II

3. the Oakland Raiders (i can dream can't i?  :D )

4. Edward Kennedy

5. Mickey Rooney

For the record, Ketih Richards is very well preserved until the end of time due to heavy drug use, and Dick Clark couldn't die even if decapitated, dismembered, and disembowled. His head will live on forever!!!
