Largely, they don't to own their own ranches, they tend to work for someone else or "ride for a brand." I think of Aggies as farmers in the Jeffersonian sense, owing and working their own land. By-the-by, a ranch and a farm are different things.Sooners are just lowdown, sneaky, land-thieving SOBs.I think of Mountaineers as people who live in the mountains and have developed their own culture sort of like "Hillbillies."Hayseed was not meant as a pejorative and I am not a Marxist.Geez.
