slapshot
I watched a few episodes of the show. It was pretty good, but it was as realistic as "Boston Public".The funny thing was the players' reactions at the Pro Bowl. Ray Lewis (!) actually said he thought the show was so wrong and offensive he would never let his kids watch that show. But I guess the Court TV episodes about his murder rap were recommended family viewing, right Ray? DEAD!
Maybe it wasn't realistic because the game scenes were shot at Skydome. I mean football being played at Skydome? C'mon   I saw, I came, I left.
Snowcap30
stupid :censored:ers pf the NFL. the show was a great hit, and ESPN even said "it didnt portray any real events of the NFL" Â :: i really do wish HBO or sumthing picks it up, i bet they will since it was so popular
slapshot
wouldn't HBO have the same problems as ESPN? HBO also shows official NFL programming..."Inside the NFL"maybe Showtime can get it instead. Or maybe Spike TV. Or even FX (they swear on it, watch "The Shield") Back-to-Back Fatal Forty Champion 2015 & 2016

NJTank
The NFL made ESPN an offer they couldnt refuse.ESPN is a sports channel and they should let dramatic programs go to other places, like HBO, or FX and when the NFL expressed their displeasure they did the smart thing and dropped Playmakers, even though it is quite unfiar and teh NFL is overreacting they cant afford to lose their relationship with the NFL, especailly after tehy satrted their own network if NFL Newtork gets more carriage they coudl crush ESPN. www.sportsecyclopedia.com For the best in sports history go to the Sports E-Cyclopedia at http://www.sportsecyclopedia.com
