watch out Carolina, not only are we coming for your Division Title, but we are aiming to knock! you out! Caps/Canes Verizon Center April 1st. Sorry Panthers but we needed to beat you, Ottawa was too damn worthless to beat Boston for us :P

Caps wipe out 'Canes 4-1. Teams are tied with two games left -- Carolina holds each of the first three tiebreakers so Washington has to have more points to get the title.

The teams each have two home games left -- against the same opponents and in the same order:

WED 4/2 -- 'Ning @ 'Canes

THU 4/3 -- 'Ning @ Caps

FRI 4/4 -- Panthers @ 'Canes

SAT 4/5 -- Panthers @ Caps

Hopefully, there's a little bit of an edge in getting both teams on the back half of consecutive game nights.

It all comes down to tonight. The Florida-Washington game will decide how Carolina and Washington finish #3 and #9.

Caps win or make it to OT, and they win the division and the Canes are done.

Caps lose in regulation, and the Canes are in, Caps are out.

Go Caps!

Wow, the Canes are out. Surprised.

The fact that it took the last game of the season to eliminate Carolina is amazing itself. They were missing Justin Williams for most of the year, Rod Brind'Amour for most of the second half, and other key players missing significant time. It's incredible they were in contention this long.....

More like Southleast.

Whoever plays Washington gets a first round bye -- they'll sweep the Caps (what a stupid nickname) in four!

You'd really dismiss a team with a 60+ goal scorer and all the momentum in the world so quickly?

FUNNY...same could have been said about Edmonton and their 8th seed just two years ago, J.R....Remember that? How did that end up? Don't count the Caps out by any stretch of the imagination....

WOW, I'm shocked to hear that from an Oilers "fan".

Because those NASCAR watching, Jack Daniels swilling Americans don't know how to play the stupid game. Right?

Besides Edmonton, how many of your players have every worked as oilers?
