BRUINSFAN Posted May 27, 2008 Share Posted May 27, 2008 Jose Canseco offers $5K for boxing opponentFOX Sports.comJust when you thought Jose Canseco's life couldn't get any more surreal, he goes and does something like this.Canseco, the former Oakland A's slugger and reality TV veteran who recently revealed that the mortgage on his home had been foreclosed, is offering $5,000 to anyone who will step into the ring with him and headline a boxing card in Atlantic City this summer.Canseco's promoter Damon Feldman sent out the following email:"We are looking for a big opponent/athlete to step into the ring and fight 'The Bad Boy of Baseball' Jose Canseco in a boxing match, live on Saturday, July 12, at the Atlantic City Bernie Robbins Stadium. The person picked will be paid $5,000 and become a star overnight. There will be a full undercard and if you are not picked you may have a shot on the undercard."Canseco has been through two costly divorces, which have contributed to his money problems. Pretty good, if I remember correctly, but I usually just used the bootleg to QB Eagles (Randall Cunningham) whenever I played as Philadelphia.
