ebod39
I think those "logos" are just meant to be possibilities and not actual ideas the team is considering. He still took the time to produce them, and therefore must be punished!totally agree
Burmy
I know I'm bumping a dead thread, but now Janesville officially has a team:http://www.nahl.com/news/story.cfm?id=1013And with-surprise, surprise-a name-the-team contest too!http://janesvillenahl.pointstreaksites.com.../JanesvillenahlLet's be serious here...which names sound the best to you? ManCalledAmp
Because of the blurb on the Ice Bison....why not the Janesville Miracle(s)?Yes, it was a WNBA team name. No, it wasn't terrible. And here, there's actually relevance. Go Gators. Go Blue Raiders. Go Commodores. Go USC Trojans.Preds & Avs. Braves, Rays, & Dodgers. Titans, Colts, Broncos, Cardinals. Grizzlies. 14ers, Jam. Team Spirit + Laziness = Yay.

BallWonk
Any other suggestions?I went with geology and suggested the Rocks (or Big Rocks or Rockers) and the Mammoths. I haven't been to Janesville in forever, but I seem to recall water skiing being a big deal there; I couldn't think of a clever way to tie an ice hockey team name into that, but there's gotta be a way to do so. The_Admiral
I took a wrong turn in Janesville and drove into a pit. True story. ♫ oh yeah, board goes on, long after the thrill of postin' is gone ♫
SenatorJake
If Rockers is still an option like they said in the Gazette, I would definitely go with this logo: All it needs is a few minor adjustments and it would be perfect for a NAHL logo.

Did anyone read his blurb on one he chose the name "Rockers"Janesville RockersConcept: Nickname attracts younger demographic and plays off Rock County. The video game ?Guitar Hero? has turned millions into wannabe rock stars.Theme song: ?Let?s Get Rocked.?The second sentence is EXTREMELY DUMB. Might aswell call them the Ice Rockers then too.Wow......

Ez Street
The reported finalists for the team name are as follows.....Janesville Jets, Janesville Jaguars, Janesville Juggernauts, Janesville Jackals and Janesville Jayhawks.Jayhawks.....that would be interesting. @DavidStreeter
DelayedPenalty
Jaguars? No, not many of those in Wisconsin. Jayhawks? No, not a real animal as far as I know, and I hate KU (no offense to Streeter if you're a KU fan). Juggernauts? No, that's just dumb.I vote Jackals or Jets. Jigga
They should call them the Jets...then immediately move them to Winnipeg. Everyone wins! I live about 25 miles from Allen Fieldhouse.Although I noramlly wouldn't say a team can't use a name, because any name should be up for grabs, I think Jayhawks is a name derived from a regional historical reference and is kind of off limits. Not sure how Jayhawks pertain to the Janesville, Wisconsin area. @DavidStreeter
The_Admiral
Juggernaut from the X-Men could break rocks. Janesville is in Rock County. Janesville Juggernauts it is. Plus, it comes from Sanskrit. We need more Sanskrit in our sports.
