Pretty much. One of the reasons why they got whupped by Orlando last year (aside from the fact that Dwight Howard ran roughshod all over them) was the fact that Mo Williams talked a LOT of :censored: but was invisible. Hopefully for the Cavs' sake he just shuts up & produces this year.

Also, the series I'm gonna be really paying attention to (aside from the Hawks taking on probably [and hopefully, idk if I can stand another Hawks/Heat playoff series] the Bucks) will be the Lakers & Thunder. That is gonna be wild, I can't wait for that.

But yeah, the West playoffs are gonna be exciting in general. If everything goes as planned in the East, things may not get interesting until the 2nd round.

I still think Orlando's the best team in the East. The Cavs have shown a tendency to not show up for big games, the Celtics are old and fading quickly (despite the fact that they still have some fight left in them), and the Hawks are just too damn inconsistent & all of a sudden getting hit with an injury bug.

And the Hawks need to win on the road too, they struggle away from home lately. Elite teams like the Cavs, Magic, Lakers win games on the road.

'zactly. The Hawks at home can beat absolutely anybody in the NBA. On the road, they're still just good-to-mediocre. You'd think that'd be fixed by now in the Woodson regime, but eh. Maybe if they stay together for a year or 2 more (not Bibby, he's gotta be gone after next season & who knows whether or not Joe Johnson will stay), but right now it still befuddles me as to how this team can run over the Lakers at home one night, then get dumptrucked by the Bobcats in Charlotte the next night.

Miami beats the Nets in 2OT (!?!?!?!?!), they earn a trip to Boston. Milwaukee, as expected, will be coming to Atlanta for Round 1. Pretty sure the entire bracket is set now, schedule will be released around 2 A.M. EST.

Can the Bulls decline the playoffs?

If Vinny del Negro and John Paxson are polite and finish that fight to the death they started, perhaps Stern will let the Bulls recuse themselves.

I hate to disagree with Barkley, but Paxson is a red-faced lunatic. He'd strangle Vinny, and only after considerable deliberation would his assistant coaches intervene on his behalf.

With the Suns dominating Utah, it'll most likely be: Phoenix 3, Denver 4, Utah 5 in the West.

If Phoenix doesn't blow the lead, who would be the Suns' first round opponent?

They should get Portland if everything holds up.
