Ez Street
Well, the Kansas City Brigade of the Arena Football League are now the Kansas City Command, thanks to an ill-conceived contest run by the organization. They wanted to keep the colors and logo, but wanted fans to come up with a new nickname.Command won out, now here is the "new" logo.....GAG. @DavidStreeter
TBGKon
I had noticed this change on the league's Wikipedia page, but figured it had happened a bit ago. "Stealth" would have made a better name. What a joke of a name, glad to have KC back in the league though.
loogodude90
They downgraded to an ugly, 80's sounding name and managed to create that name's (and city's!) wordmark in an ugly, 80's style. Fitting I guess. WIZARDS ORIOLES CAPITALS RAVENS UNITED
Shmee
They couldn't even be the Commanders? That would actually be kind of a good name. The world's foremost practitioners of professional tag-team wrestling.
Gary
I agree, Commanders would have made a great improvement. Command isn't that great of a name, but I guess perfect for an Arena Football team
Cujo
Terrific nickname if this were the 1990s World League -- right alongside bodacious teams like the Sacramento Surge and Montreal Machine.

JH42XCC
This new AFL is getting more NIFLly by the day.I wouldn't count on that just yet IMO.Anyhoo, great to see the KC team back in the Arena League. Though I hoped they would've gone with "Commandos" or even kept the "Brigade" name.
The_Admiral
I think they should be called the Kansas City Command Brigade. Why the hell not, I say. ♫ oh yeah, board goes on, long after the thrill of postin' is gone ♫
Viper
Not a big fan of the "Command" nickname, but it does make more sense than "Brigade" when paired with an aircraft logo. The term "brigade" usually refers to a ground army unit. I'd be surprised if the Air Force even uses that term at all."Commandos", mind you, would have had the same problem. The_Admiral
There'd be more obvious problems than that. ♫ oh yeah, board goes on, long after the thrill of postin' is gone ♫

Though I hoped they would've gone with "Commandos" or even kept the "Brigade" name.I may be a unique case, but the word "commando" no longer means military personnel to me. Going commando means to go without underwear, which is why I very carefully suggested Commanders instead. Icky. The world's foremost practitioners of professional tag-team wrestling.
