pmoehrin Posted August 4, 2011 Share Posted August 4, 2011 I'll take a guy that led the league in losses twice during his career.P-Eppa RixeyA career record of 266 wins to 251 losses but he was top ten in ERA 6 times, top ten in innings pitched 10 times and WHIP six times.Why he had such a bad win loss record though given those credentials I have no idea. Its not like he played for bad teams. The Phillies of the late 10's and Reds of the 20's were very solid teams. One of the year he led the league in losses he was clearly the second best pitcher on a second place 1917 Phillies team. Only guy on the team to have a record below .500 as well.
