2013 AFL (Australian) uniform changes

As mentioned in a few other threads the adelaide crows have a new clash jersey. The only other change I have noticed so far (it's only opening round and I have only watched one game) is hawthorn switching uniform suppliers from puma to Adidas, getting rid of their infamous black numbers in the white box and gone strait brown on the yellow jersey base, they have also added a random bit of piping on the side of the jersey.

The old jerseys

And the new one

Also the crows clash for anyone that missed it

Any other people who watch the sport (and I know your out there) notice any changes?

The Hawks also have an inverted version a la Collingwood and the Roos, brown back, gold middle stripe, with the old HFC monogram on the back. Strange place to put it, but then I aint them.

Adelaide: new apparel sponsor (Puma), plus that new clash jumper.

Carlton: new clash jumper.

Collingwood: has dumped an apparel sponsorship and now makes its own under the brand of 'Star Athletic' (but no serious changes to either jumper)

Gold Coast: new apparel sponsor (2XU), new clash jumper

Hawthorn: as mentioned, new apparel sponsor, revised home jumper and new brown away jumper

Port: new apparel sponsor (ISC) but no serious change

St Kilda: revised clash jumper (shrunk the horizontal arm of the cross) and a one-off jumper for their 140th anniversary

There's also minor collar changes for the NB and ISC-sponsored clubs (Fremantle, GWS, Geelong, Melbourne, Port, St Kilda, Sydney)

I'd seen Carlton's clash at footyjumpers.com, and I'll be honest...despite the fact that the back is white, this is what the Blues' clash reminds me of:

Husker: I'm used to the white box, I think it looks strange without it especially with brown numbers rather than black

Primal: I was wondering what company was making the pies jerseys this year, the logo reminds me of this

That gc jersey looks pretty good minus the drop shadow on the logo, what are the new new balance collars like? I really disposed the collars from the past couple of years

Discrim: I think the loo is great there if only it was a little bigger and slightly higher up

Wasn't to say I hated it, it's just once that comparison popped in my head...it's kinda like Andrew Bogut's elbow injury a few years back...or the couple of times I saw the BYU bibs in action: once you see it, you can't unsee it.

Same principle applies...I like that they brought the HFC back, but knowing it is where it is, I can't unsee it.

This is a better clash jumper than the original ones. Also a noteable change, the back collar for 2013 guernseys has a yellow area with the GC logo.

St Kilda isn't the only one that will have a 140th anniversary jumper, apparently Essendon will as well (Round 11 )

Essendon now has the logo on the back collar

https://shopdesq.img...0291&OrgID=1769

Of course with the Swans being premiers, they have the gold AFL premiers logo

https://shopdesq.img...4588&OrgID=1752

I don't recall if the reverse stripes are new for the Kangaroos

I saw, I came, I left.

I know, but the Australian flag in their "corrected" version looks backwards. So obviously not designed that way.

Aussie flag must be furtherest left of all flags

The yellow part on the back of the Suns guernsey is to simulate that of a lifesavers cap when it falls backwards. Also the Suns have yellow numbers on their backs this season.

Yes, of course. But the canton should be against the pole. This flag's backwards.

Shame, too. I've always loved that crest.

Ugh. How the hell did anyone at EFC look at this crap and conclude that using it as anything beyond toilet paper was a good idea? Let alone something worth using to celebrate an anniversary? Something with a thinner sash over the opposite shoulder would've been a much better option for an anniversary one-off, not this Mercury Mets-level crap.

From what I read on the webpage, THAT is not the actual design as it isn't unveiled yet. But, I am still a bit annoyed about the grey "heritage" jumper that started last year.
