Bunny Dojo
I'm a big NBA fan, but, between showcasing full logos and bringing in other design features, most caps are a bit action-packed for my preferences, i.e.:So, I tried out a few designs stripping things back to a single element (ideally, a single letter) and only a couple of colors to see if the team branding still holds up. Generally, they seem pretty decent. I hope you guys will get a kick out of some of the results so far.(There's no particular continuity as far as using a logo vs. an alternate vs. jersey lettering.)Boston, Chicago, ClevelandIndiana, Los Angeles, MemphisMilwaukee, Sacramento, San Antonio
nash61
I like these, but I think they could be done even simpler, more like baseball alternate caps. For example, the Spurs cap could have this logo: On September 20, 2012 at 0:50 AM, 'CS85 said: It's like watching the hellish undead creakily shuffling their way out of the flames of a liposuction clinic dumpster fire. On February 19, 2012 at 9:30 AM, 'pianoknight said: Story B: Red Wings go undefeated and score 100 goals in every game. They also beat a team comprised of Godzilla, the ghost of Abraham Lincoln, 2 Power Rangers and Betty White. Oh, and they played in the middle of Iraq on a military base. In the sand. With no ice. Santa gave them special sand-skates that allowed them to play in shorts and t-shirts in 115 degree weather. Jesus, Zeus and Buddha watched from the sidelines and ate cotton candy. jdennis82
Big Mavs fan here and I agree, the NBA cap selection is terrible. (made worse by the Mavs' current logo set)Love these looks...anything in mind for the Mavs?
Tynamo
The curved M?To be fair to the NBA, their logos weren't meant for caps in the first place. Even MLB needs cap logos that are different from the primary. and
LAWeaver
With me being from the backwoods, I always wanna take them flat billed hats and bend em because I've always wore them with a bent or curved bill. As for your hats, I think the Clover alternate for Boston would work better. I agree the spur logo works best for San Antonio, and maybe the SK banner alternate for the kings would work. I like the others too. DL Watt
This is a great idea, and I think you are on track, but my suggestion to you is, if you are going to have the Buck logo represent Milwaukee than you should have the Bull head logo for Chicago and Spur logo for SA. Two teams that are known for their logos.
Dnice
I don't mind initals on the hats, as opposed to the logos. I think the water boys had been wearing the nba hats with intials.

Bunny Dojo
if you are going to have the Buck logo represent Milwaukee than you should have the Bull head logo for Chicago and Spur logo for SA.You make a great point. My aim was to have the city initial for every team, but I began to divert from that with the Pacers' "P," then surrendered to the charms of that classic Bucks logo. I'll re-visit Milwaukee to try to bring some consistency back, then maybe Indiana and Phoenix below to see if opting strictly for city names can work out.Big Mavs fan here and I agree, the NBA cap selection is terrible. (made worse by the Mavs' current logo set)Love these looks...anything in mind for the Mavs? Thanks, man, I'm glad you like them! It's not the standout of the group, but I think the "D" actually works better than I would have expected:Plus Atlanta, Minnesota, and Phoenix:love em.. my fav is memphisThanks! And me too, something about that Memphis "M" seems to work really naturally in this setup.
