29texan
I made a concept for an NBA team in Fort Worth sometime last year... or the year before. Anyway, my original concept wasn't the cleanest or best, but I felt it was a decent start. I decided to redo it with a better representation and an actual identity UP FRONT. Ladies and gentlemen, the Fort Worth Outlaws. (redone). Logos (Colors = Crimson, Royal Blue, & Gray) Home Uniforms Away Workmarks and Numbers Court- The name "Outlaws" is not only a common western mascot, but named for the original "Fort Worth Five" you see pictured right above. - The font is Art Deco to match the Southwestern Art Deco style buildings you'll see around the center of the city. - I'll admit, the logos aren't exactly what I was going for, but the idea is there. I wanted to make sure that the city was mostly on display. - I chose crimson because it really isn't used in American pro sports very often... In fact, I don't think it's used at all. - The number style is your basic block font, but slightly altered. - The design of the uniforms was meant to look more timeless than "traditional" or "modern". - "P.E.A.U." = Populus enim ad urbem (For the City and For the People)Of course, I'm open to any criticism. However, I'm NOT going to accept any complaints on the city I chose like one guy did the last time. It's a concept, not a real life identity competition. Thanks for any feedback. TheGiantsFan
I really like this concept! I find the "FTW" logo pretty darn awesome! I like how your concept pulls off an art deco look. Great job! BEHANCE | PORTFOLIO
JTswag187
the secondary logo's ear needs some work and the tertiary logo should have a different font, also if they're called the outlaws they should have more western logo's. Otherwise it's a great start

Otherwise it's a great startThat's the thing. I did want it to be Western... but not TOO Western. I didn't want it to be too cliche, ya know?Just felt that the imagery of the lone star was good enough since this entire identity is more 1930's based than 1800's based. Besides, Fort Worth has plenty of old west Texas stereotypes, so I thought I'd do something related to Fort Worth, but different than what is expected. But I will look at it and see if I can maybe work something in. No horses, though. The Mavs pretty much own that in this state.
BlackBolt3
Ahh yes, I remember our little excursion last year. The uniforms are pretty good. The logos could use some work, but are a good start. See if you could try to fit the number font onto a logo as well.
FALCON6
Amazing, nice throwback style. Like the lettering across the jersey. tjswag is right, could use just a bit more western style, don't do too much though. One more element. Great style

FALCON6
Not really, but how about bull horns or a horse as part of one of the logos. Great job.

FFWally
As a Ft Worth guy, I love the Art Deco... with that in mind, I would not do the Longhorn at all... the FWPD logo is cliche. A more Zig Zag Art Deco feel would be perfect. utilize some of the lines in the Uni. If any animal for mascot it has to be a Panther... as Ft W is the Panther City.Black and Crimson, the Blue and White from FD is nice (retired FF here) but Id go with the black for panthers. But I do like the idea of black with zig zag moderne, and I will do something with it in the alternate uniform.
Shadojoker
Nice concept but do we need another red white blue ish team??? Love the iinspirational pieces but can you use a different color scheme/brand
29texan
lol. I knew someone was going to point out the RWB scheme. I thought that this was the best set of colors for this team's city and identity, and I'm sticking with it. However, I WILL be experimenting with different colors later on. So stay tuned... FFWally
So while your feeling creative, how about doing a North Crowley Panther... so they can do away with the North Carolina Logo Fictional History of the SFAF
Davidellias
Love the concept especially the uniforms, but.......why does the ball logo look so un-round o.OAlso the Compression on these pics is a lil to much IMO.But still I give this a 9/
29texan
So while your feeling creative, how about doing a North Crowley Panther... so they can do away with the North Carolina LogoI kinda have. That logo you see in my Sig is one I did back in high school (sort of, since the original was thrown away years ago), but I Dont think I'll do a full uniform for NCHS. 29texan
Other color schemes, before I go further...The anti-Dallas colors (Maroon, cardinal red, gold): Dallas is double blue and silver, Fort Worth could be double red and gold. The "Dumbar" colors (Royal & Black): As requested, the same colors as an East F.W. high school The Stereotypical Texas colors (Brown, khaki, and orange): I named it this because there are some people out there who think that Texas teams should have brown in their color schemes simply because they are Texas teams.Fort Worth Flyers colors (Light Blue, Navy, and copper?): In "honor" of the defunct D-League team from last decade. The Old Flag colors (Green, Royal Blue, and Black): A scheme based off the old city flag "Experiment" 1 (Dark Royal Blue, Burnt Orange, and Silver): Think of this as a mix between the Texas Longhorns and old Dallas Cowboys..."Experiment" 2 (Purple, "Dust Red", and Silver): Just something different, while adding a "new" color in there...Any other color schemes in mind? Shadojoker
Hands clapping you know You have a great concept when no matter what color scheme you use. .it still works! ! With that in mind ..the RWB (original) and the experiment #2 works for me!
Whittier S
So challenging to come up with a unique colour scheme in the NBA. I think Experiment 1 and anti-Dallas are the most successful at being unique without being off.
TheGiantsFan
I like Stereotypical Texas and Experiment 1 the most. Experiment 2 reminds me too much of the Suns, so maybe you should stay away from that. BEHANCE | PORTFOLIO
