  1. I sure hope so. Buffalo has had some pretty good drafts in recent years. Just sucks to trade with the team that constantly rubs their face in the dirt.
  2. The Bills need a WR so they traded with KC, who took a WR. You just know that dude is going to burn Buffalo into the ground in a playoff game.
  3. How often does a team win the draft and then go on to win the league? It happened in Draft Day, but that's the only time I remember.
  4. Responding kind of late here (this thread moves fast!), but my problem with NCAA uniform dress is its impermanence. It feels like every team, especially the mid majors, is rocking a new set every single year. There are all times of helmets and colors and design flourishes that the uniform itself kind of means nothing. It's an end to selling jerseys that season because if you're not Alabama or Ohio State, selling jerseys is all you have to look forward to. The NFL has been around forever and has settled a sense of expectation in the culture. The Packers are green and yellow. The Raiders are silver and Black. The Chiefs are red and yellow. What are the Texans colors now? What uniforms do the Broncos wear now? Even the Jets that people like, what do they look like? Sometimes green, sometimes black but it depends. To me it cheapens pro football legacy and the representative of a city and a set of colors it feels like it should have. All in favor of gimmicks and selling jerseys and other junk.
  5. The NCAA-ification of the NFL is a real drag. And I don't even hate the Texans, especially if they hold tight to actual home and away designations. But all of these uniform combos and billions of helmets; it cheapens the game to me.
  6. That Knicks finish was incredible. Josh Hart is one of my favorite players in the league. My heart is going to be shattered in a million pieces when the Nuggets win this game.
  7. If that's the case Philly has no shot against New York. The Knicks are too deep.
  8. When the play-in was first announced, I think it would only include the 8 and 9 seeds, and the winner would advance. Including the 7 seed seems unfair. Going from the 7 to potentially out of the playoffs altogether is a huge, huge disadvantage. Especially if, like the Pelicans, they finished 2-3 games ahead of the other seeds. Similarly, the In Season Tournament needs to mean more. The Lakers and Pacers played an extra game with stats that didn't count, and a trophy that kind of doesn't mean anything. I don't think you should guarantee a seed to the IST, but that was an actual game that actually happened. Maybe it's a tiebreaker? A win that cancels out a loss?
  9. That's a bummer. It also comes down to who's healthiest and every season, one key guy just misses the playoffs or is out of the Finals altogether.
  10. Four titles in 6 years is about as good as it gets. And knowing the Warriors, they'll somehow land Giannis or Donovan Mitchell or both and start it all over again.
  11. LA is toast against Denver, so I'll take my wins where I can get them: Lakers win and Warriors lose. Not bad. Shame the Thunder ended up with the 1 seed instead of the Nuggets. Denver stacks up best against the Lakers than any other team in the west. LA would have been perfect against OKC.
  12. I just read this story on ESPN.com: https://www.espn.com/nhl/story/_/id/39931044/arizona-coyotes-players-informed-team-relocation-utah Seems pretty final to me. That's a really kind thing to say but when you break up with someone it's ultimately the kindest to tell them it's never going to work out and they should move on.
  13. I was shocked to learn they won the title last year. I never thought we'd see women's college basketball go from novelty to the more important tournament.
  14. It kind of feels like one those Belichick moves were you dump a guy a year before it's too late. Or that might just be cope. Either way, the Bills have developed some pretty good receivers over the past few years. I don't think all is lost.
