I've been playing since the weekend and it has been a blast so far. I haven't had much time to get out and really explore, but my little town has well over two dozen Pokestops, 4 or 5 gyms, all easily accessible. I took my dog for a walk the other night and saw no less than a dozen people out playing, which is pretty cool to see.
My friend created a website called the PokestopDirectory.com to map and track Pokestops, gyms and rare Pokemon finds. Now it is evolving into more focussed on where you found Pokemon, since it was brought up that the maps from the game Ingress were used for Pokemon Go, so the database basically exists already. He's offering businesses the opportunity to advertise special deals for Go players as well as a points system to earn rewards like gift cards.
I'm helping him out with graphics and tracking locations and so far it has been a lot of fun. Check it out if you'd like. Sign up to help if you love!
