Welp

I haven't seen anything in the first round of 2022 T-shirts with the gold on it either; seems like it might be gone, as was rumored.

NFL uniform matchups that only happened in preseason

1997 Jags wore the drop-shadowed numbers in pre-season then changed them for the regular season due to legibility. The 11 was probably the best-looking number, as all the other numbers were way too narrow. Some numbers were spaced out way too wide: -
I think it'd look pretty cool if the hem stripes are silver/burgandy/silver...but the crest will be awfully redundant to the current third.
-
Riddell did this a couple years ago but it in some ways it looks better than the navy helmet. The navy's just so bland/ho-hum compared to all the other colors they have.
-
Might want to think this through one more time (either way one sleeve is blank)

Just a quick note on WFT as that thread is locked - some say they ripped off the Ravens with their quadrant-roundel - but I just noticed that the inspiration will probably be described as the NW/SW/NE/SE quadrants of the District...which makes it a bit better. Maybe someone else brought that up too, in which case I apologize for the redundancy. /endofmyonegoodkindasmartpostperday

Those are Fanatics tags on that Sabres jersey though. And although Fanatics has bumped up its vintage line somewhat, the Sabres jersey is a modern template, unlike the others in the vintage line.
-
I realize that's just a mockup...but it does look better without the white outline that was on the original version. Also, it looks like the mockup has the horn shading reversed.
-
Perhaps...but the NHL is clearly aware that 80s/90s designs are in peak demand.

Riddell released a line of full size authentic and replica throwback Speed helmets in October/November. Not saying the Cowboys white helmet won’t be worn, but this line of consumer throwbacks had been planned before the one helmet announcement.
-
I really hope all the logos aren’t just filled in as the same color as the hats with an outline. That Nats hat would look better with a white capitol or a W. A couple people on here last year said the ‘22 ST hats would be mesh, and they were right.

A 3 flipped upside down and added to a regular 3 is abnormal font design. The style of the regular 3 looks very different than the style of the 9. Just because you saw it on the internet doesn't make it true.
-
You could be right...but I have a feeling 2023 will be the year the Dolphins make a change. I think the 2018 changes reset the clock.
-
2022 is season #5 of the current design (designed, IIRC by a guy that used to be on here a bit and did graphic design work for the team)

I always hated that 98 car too; pick one font or the other! IDK...maybe...my eyes see two different angles...the white space clearly narrows in-between the hard edges of the 1 and the 0.

The players’ union agreed (or better said, didn’t fight back against) a proposal to allow ad patches on uniforms today. https://www.espn.com/mlb/story/_/id/33059512/sources-mlb-makes-first-labor-proposal-lockout-awaits-union-counter

I'm still kind of amazed they haven't cleaned up the "10"...still looks like the 1 an 0 are at two different angles with a bit more italics on the 0, and the serifed 1 doesn't help.
-
The Steelers' yellow jerseys always looked cool in training camp, but maybe it's just an alternate/clash effect.
-
I think this would be the plan if alternate helmets weren't happening...and they really need white pants with that color rush set. I do think Broncos will introduce Orange Crush throwbacks in 2023, which might make an updated color rush set a step-child of sorts.
-
Penguins don't need the top yellow stripe on their socks. Should just be white/black/yellow stripes. You can kinda see it here:
-
Usually by early April; the NFL draft hats are released/leaked a few weeks before the draft.
-
Gray pants would look phenomenal, especially with the white jerseys.

NC State is using a front-facing wolf logo for its 30-minute Athletics cable TV show "Wolfpack Hustle". Don't know if it will get more use in coming years or not...
