  1. Not bad...the red helmet with the red jersey will always be the best look. The blue jersey is pretty cool though.
  2. Nothing confirmed...just speculating... Northwestern FB tweeted about the 1995 season like 9 billion times this week...gotta think '95 throwbacks are coming for the 25th anniversary of Rose Bowl. Also...I think this is just for retail only...but Gator throwback in the works?
  3. I'm guessing that it's a maroon jersey and white pants (though it kinda looks like a hem stripe)?
  4. Gender is used all the time to sell product, especially clothing.
  5. Tried what now? My plan is to leave the current "Los Angeles" roads the same, just make the road "Dodgers" alternate like the 80s roads...which would be a true alternate and not a boring copy of the regular road. Or just have the 80s road uniform become a full-time TBTC uni for Friday road games. I don't want white outlines on the Los Angeles roads. The Dodgers had good teams in the 80s and 90s (and a few bad ones)...but it's not really an era to avoid.
  6. Yeah it could use some more gold on the green and white helmet.
  7. I watched MLB Network's replay of an 1985 playoff game between the Cardinals and the Dodgers at Busch II; I think the white outline around the Dodgers' wordmark always looked really good on the road grays; I liked the cuffs too. The Yankees still have the outline and cuff, and it doesn't look terrible either. Probably won't get many likes, but this isn't the thread for that lol... I'd be okay if they kept the current Los Angeles roads but added the white outlines to the road alternate. edit: inserted a photo from 1988 as the old 1985 jersey photo I originally had expired
  8. The white numbers definitely do look better. I understand that people complained the gold numbers looked like Boston College (fair point, especially since BC moved to the ACC), but honestly...BC looked better with white numbers too.
  9. A lot of CFB uni news comes out of spring games, which were all canceled.
  10. Duke's Mayo Classic, sponsored by Duke's Classic Mayo.
  11. One day they’ll tear down the actual walls. But hey, good riddance, curved-handles- in-swords-of-the-logo! Honestly, UVA should just use a split- V logo with an updated Virginia wordmark.
  12. Others noted how minor-leagueish that Coyotes logo is...my mind went to the WPHL, who had notoriously cartoony (but fun) logos...
  13. Los Angeles Angels stuff was recently updated, but still doesn't include the late 80s hat (thicker halo, thicker A) nor the late 90s Anaheim cap with the periwinkle brim.
  14. Female lumberjacks have been known as lumberjills. https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-england-17287811
  15. Gamecocks football was going to wear the throwbacks look full time, right? UA did a good job with those.
  16. Well there's no revenue upside to having the swoosh on non-revenue teams either.
  17. It's more strange that you made that up... https://goheels.com/news/2015/6/10/205473190.aspx
  18. I'm not sure I'd call South Carolina the primary rival of North Carolina. A school in Durham would disagree. Even the school in Raleigh.
  19. I like 5, 6, and 4; 1 is just hideous.
  20. Virginia Tech is doing an ultimate jersey bracket, starting today. https://hokiesports.com/sports/2020/4/24/hokies-ultimate-jersey-bracket.aspx?RSRC=social&RDAT=instagram&utm_source=instagram&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=JerseyBracket
  21. The black/red/black set was very underrated, and the Terps made Aachen Bold pretty famous. The early 90s set with the big M was one of my favorites because it just looked unique in 1992, with that huge M logo on a black helmet with red facemask
  22. Reminds me when Oklahoma State added the bevel and then had two different shades of orange.
