    The new hats are downgrades, and the patch is pretty bad. The original navy hat with the fish is their best one.

    I think NHL Faceoff '97-thru-2000 had the accurate slanted numbers, but they were obviously ruined by heavy pixels.

    Every now and then I think the Steelers should go back to gray facemasks...to tie-in to the logo as well as a throwback look...but the black facemask is just awesome.

    After seeing this (which is very cool)...now I'm hoping the Chiefs paint the endzones red for one game this year with the yellow wordmark, 80s/90s style.

    None? That seems rather absolute. I bet there are plenty of examples of ethical consumption under capitalism. There really hasn't been a recent rise...authoritarianism has always been prevelant across the world and across the political spectrum, especially by parties who want to ensure their side always stays in power.

    I'm not sure I understand the "Desperados is a ripoff but the Roughnecks is a sweet homage" argument. There's nothing great nor beautiful about the LA logo. Doesn't reflect the city or the team nickname.

    It's almost as if John Facenda came back to life just to write those descriptions. All of the logos look like Create a Team. The Dragons one might be the best...but it's a low bar.

    San Francisco had strong support in 2001 - the Demons led the league in attendance with an average of over 35,000 fans. Presumably some of that can be attributed to a brand new stadium and non-Candlestick weather.

    A lot of logos from the 2018 Winter Classic have not been posted. Here's an article with NYR wordmarks: https://www.sny.tv/rangers/news/the-logos-the-rangers-will-use-for-the-winter-classic/253668882/ Also, the mothership doesn't have this NYR wordmark from the 90s that was used on hockey cards and Starter jackets: That wordmark is the same font the Orlando Magic used, as well as the Avalanche NOB font (though I forget what it's called) In fact, the mothership doesn't have a lot of older NHL wordmarks, probably due to file problems... Old Bruins wordmark from the early 90s:

    Public funds were given to Ross, conditional upon events coming to the stadium. Not wholly privately funded.

    Pretty sure all the spouses and kids would stay in Tampa if they live there at all. It's not unusual for players to maintain primary residences far away from the city they play in.

    The numbers are outlined in silver. The dot in the in the middle of the C was changed to black probably to make it look puckish.
