Two from the start of the WHL season. Regina with white versions of their pre-existing red alts. Have to see if the reds stick around too. And then Lethbridge decided to do this.

My thoughts Montreal - Maroons-esque? Toronto - Tied in with the Toronto sports blue Ottawa - Tied in with Ottawa sports red Boston - Irish? New York - Either Statue of Liberty (though I don't know if the WNBA/New York Liberty would like it) or something akin to the Fisherman/New York Riptide colour scheme Minnesota - Vikings-esque maybe leading to some sort of Northern Lights or Auroras thing

If these two reports are to be believed, I'm thinking it's the Rock. Going to the calendar, the XFL championship was on May 13th and then the USFL championship was on July 1st. Reading the tea leaves, I can't imagine the league that reportedly initiated merger talks shortly after the other league's season was over is in an advantageous position.

I'm hoping it's a temporary thing because it's a pretty underwhelming brand right now, including the logos. The primary has issues and that shoulder patch stinks.

It appears Wenatchee was able to at least get the white jerseys in. Not that those are anything special and they're now the third WHL team to currently be wearing this template, but they're definitely not the Ice jerseys.

I think those old Carolina reds are very good but I didn't really like how the warning flag hem striping was handled on the whites. The sleeve striping on the red jersey at least gives the general impression of the hem striping but it doesn't on the white and the replacement red stripe has always looked like it's floating to me and not part of the larger hem stripe. I don't like the socks either. There's already two different striping patterns on the jerseys to choose from and they went with a third on the socks.

NLL's Saskatchewan Rush new logo. I don't like it and I can't help but read the logo as "Ru *choke* sh".

I don't know, I find them kind of boring.

"More likely than not" shouldn't be the standard for replay because there's no baseline for what that means. 51% could mean different things to different people.

What do you think they are doing when they go to replay? They use the dozens of camera angles to make a decision. "not enough evidence to overturn it" means there isn't enough evidence on the film to make a decision on the replay. That's a result from looking at the replay.

Unless he's done a lot of improving over the last offseason and training camp, Wilson is just not good enough for the level where the rest of the team is at (minus the o-line). All this hype just for them to end up in the same position as last year four offensive snaps into the season. What are you talking about?

I don't even know what to take from this game. Gutsy win but I don't feel great about Rodgers being out.

Prince George Cougars 30th

The red belt was obviously chosen for a pop of colour but I wonder if the intention was to mimic the jersey colour placement and continue the red over blue look? The red belt is the red SMU and then, I can't tell from the photo, maybe there's the blue striping on the sides which would be the blue numbers.

Jake Maier was missing the horse on the front of his jersey yesterday.

The Als shouldn't play mix and match between the primary home/away and the alternate because they don't match. The helmet striping also doesn't match anything and the logo treatment on the helmet with the outlines is the only place that version of the logo exists (to my knowledge). The Als brand design is very inconsistent.

Not NHL specifically, What a pick-up by Lethbridge!

I'm going to assume it's not going to be happening because the draft and the summer have came and went and we're almost at the new season without anything. I guess they could also surprise everyone but I don't know if it makes good business and logistical sense to drop a full rebrand so late in the offseason. Of all the recent rebrands I've found, they were all announced in the preceding June to the season. IIRC, it also came from that kid is on Twitter X who I don't know how he became a source in the first place. I also don't know what his hit rate is, but he has gotten stuff wrong in the past.

The S looks like a flipped treble clef to me so it could also be drawn like that. Just flip the instructions and put it on an angle while extending the centre line into having a tail. I also think steps 6 and 7 in this image should be part of step 1 or should be steps 2 and 3, but that's neither here nor there.

The Sea Lions only existed for one year and bought the jerseys from a previously disbanded team called the San Francisco Cubs.
