  1. Swap Atlanta/Pittsbugh and Houston/Cincinnati. And call them CENTRAL and SOUTH instead of Midwest/east.
  2. Yeah 1925C definitely is more red in my Pantone swatch book. It's a lighter red, but red. Compared to 200C (Cardinals red) or even 186C, it "appears" a little bit pinkish, but not magenta-esque. So it kinda straddles that line pretty well of being red, but a unique shade to (North American?) sports.
  3. If it makes you feel any better, I rarely follow MLS.
  4. I don't know. Saying "collective SPIRIT" has me wondering. Although, I don't know the trademark situation in regards to that name, so it's purely speculation on my part.
  5. I don't know. St. Louis Community College is the Archers, so who know how that would work out.
  6. DC going red pants with white jerseys. Looks good. Hope they try white pants at home with the red jerseys.
  7. Tradition, for one thing. The rivalries with these conferences are a staple of college football. Reducing or eliminating them will never fly. Secondly, and most importantly, the bigger, stronger schools playing each other on a regular basis is what strengthens the schedule. Maybe someone who's better at putting it into words can explain it better than I can, but basically, this would never happen. Quite honestly, it may be sacrilege. Possibly even warrant prison time. I'd go into hiding if I were you. Canada may even waive extradition in this scenario, regardless of the punishment. *KIDDING. Just kidding.* IMO, and I have like 50+ plans I've been working on for this, the "power conferences" (SEC, Big Ten, Big 12, ACC, PAC 12) should be moved to a new division, the top tier of Division I (plus Notre Dame and maybe even some group of five schools like Memphis, Cincinnati, Houston, UCF and Boise State). Take the remaining FBS schools, plus move some up from FCS (Like North Dakota State, South Dakota State, etc.) and make FBS the middle tier between the "Power Division" and FCS.
  8. You clearly do not watch any college football if you did this to the major conferences. Troy, South Alabama, Coastal Carolina etc. are nowhere near on the same level, competitively, as Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, Ohio State or the rest of the Power Conference schools that you disrespected (figuratively) with this alignment. The "weaker" schools don't have the strength of schedule, ot strength of roster, to compete with the bigger schools. To put it frankly, many of those schools don't actually belong in a division with the power conference schools (yes I know a small school can occasionally beat a big school, but it's a rarity that doesn't defend any argument that can be made). In short, no to your proposal. In my personal opinion.
  9. Why does Tampa Bay's V look like a V after childbirth?
  10. Are we supposed to guess the first and last letters?
  11. I'm trying to decide between Poppycock and Gov'nah. Don't wanna feel left out. Why do I feel like the boards are turning into an episode of "The Andy Griffith Show"?
  12. Your name is now Sport. Your avatar is a Tiger. Might as well change your rank to "Connoisseur of Snowcones".
  13. Looks like (University of) Houston's wordmark. But since they're both red, it works for both. Or are they REMOVING that turf?
  14. Is it just me, or are the pants reeeeaaaallllly long?
  15. Aren't they supposed to be creating a "dream league" (hate that term) with the "eliminated" organizations? I take that to mean a MILB/MLB controlled Indy League, which to me, makes a lot of sense. Why bog down rosters at 10 levels for a team when they can concentrate on those they believe have a future with only four levels. Then all the players who don't make the cut, would have this league to showcase for any potential affiliated deal. They'd probably get even more playing time because the top prospects wouldn't be in these leagues. At least that's how I've come to understand it to operate based on what I've read, which admittedly, hasn't been a lot. Still believe that is the better plan, though.
  16. At the same time, it's less insulting if they were to say "The Wind Blows".
  17. I tried skimming this... "guy's"... posts, but at the beginning of each sentence, I realized it was a waste of time. So, from a logical American's perspective on the Toronto-Montreal rivalry as it pertains sports, I look at Toronto-Montreal as the Canadian New York-Boston, where there is automatic contention, albeit probably more civil since it is Canada, but a rivalry nonetheless. Basically, one of two things can happen: either there's a rivalry or there's not. And I'd say the safe bet is to assume that it WOULD be a rivalry, with one NOT forming being the exception. I also believe, from an MLB perspective especially with travel, that the "Expos" staying in the AL would make more sense. Right now, Tampa Bay is so far removed from the other AL East teams. The Marlins have a nearby opponent in the Braves, so there's at least some lessened travel. Flipping the Marlins to the AL just increases it because A. They're actually farther south than TB and B. It increases regular travel for the Braves as well. This makes me think leaving the "Expos" in the AL East would be better on multiple fronts over the nostalgia of the old Expos in the NL. I mean, they didn't move the Nationals back to the AL when they left Montreal even though every previous MLB Washington team was in the AL. Just my pair of Lincolns.
  18. At that point, thereā€™d be no sense of merging and expanding, but rather just relocating one of the two.
