  1. Why is Atlanta playing twice opening week and San Diego and Vegas aren't playing at all?
  2. You mean all the big, fancy language you use, yet you don't know what the words "fact" and "opinion" mean and the difference between them?
  3. You see enough of his posts and ridiculous statements like this are just the norm. Each one has a more heightened sense of pretentious snobbery than the last.
  4. Literally in opposite world. The white trim and sleeve cuffs were straight out of the 70s and should've been retired a long time ago. This is traditional, pre-horribly renovated Yankee Stadium era Yankees road uniforms.
  5. If this is true, I will still hate the Yankees, but their uniform set will be elevated to one of the best in the league, rather than the 70s striped-road uniforms bringing down the #1B home uniform of the league.
  6. That tweet sounds more like a hostage situation than a hiring.
  7. And yes. SLC is not getting the A's full-time and they know that. But they're also looking at making an impression for the future. Memphis knew that with the Oilers/Titans in Nashville, they were never going to get an NFL team of they're own. Tennessee is just not a two-market state in any sport. But Salt Lake can get an MLB team even with the A's in Vegas (not saying they will, but it's a possibility that doesn't exist in the Memphis-NFL scenario), so yes, it is a very strong possibility that they have a big turnout for the A's, even if only for a temporary basis.
  8. The A's playing in Salt Lake is not the equivalent of Nashville playing in Memphis. Those two cities have a bitter rivalry and Memphis rejected the "little brother" sentiment of being only a temporary NFL city instead of a full-time one.
  9. AGAIN, these are computer graphics superimposed onto jerseys. The actual jersey elements can, and probably will, look different.
  10. What the Royals did, and I think it's how the Diamondbacks do it, is a 2-stripe cuff, ala, the White Sox previous black and white striped away uniforms. It appears the Guardians, like the Marlins, Blue Jays, Pirates, etc, are utilizing a 3 stripe cuff, just with navy sandwiched between two white stripes.
  11. I wouldn't say the Marlins had "no change". If anything, the sleeve cuff causes the triple-stripe to be thicker. Maybe the only case of the new template improving a uniform, as you can actually see each individual color rather than the previous too-thin stripes blending into one black stripe from any distance greater than 20 ft. And I say that has someone who prefers piping to the thick striping of the 70s and 80s. Old:
  12. Those graphics are superimposed on the jerseys and the real things could look different. They're not photos of actual jerseys.
  13. Yeah there's supposedly an MLF and MLFB.
  14. Referring to Arlington's win as the "most inspirational underdog run in recent memory" and saying it puts Perez "in the same class as Namath" is pretty fancy, aka, over-the-top language. Guess I should've specified that "fancy" also implied "over-the-top".
  15. Having a favorite player? No. Not creepy. Speaking of your favorite player in an overly-pretentious manner, as if he's some mythological God sent down to Earth by Zeus himself? Yes. Very creepy. Especially in regards to a spring league football player.
  16. Again, using fancy words doesn't make your preferred playoff structure any better. The choice is either the best teams make the playoffs or the best teams in a division. It's an 8-team league in year 1/2/3, not a 30+ team league in year 103. Having under .500 teams in the playoffs OVER above .500 teams could be far more detrimental than the false sense of tradition you're trying to perpetuate. And yes, your creepy mancrush on Luis Perez is an obvious bias, to whatever team he's on, which is currently Arlington.
  17. How is NOT having the best teams, in an 8-team league, the most "sensible and interesting product"? You, and other Arlington fans, are probably the only ones who would support it staying the same. You seem to think that adding colorful language to your posts somehow makes them more impactful and everyone will understand and agree with your point of view. Not happening. If it was "sensible and interesting", you wouldn't need to dress it up.
  18. Is that ALL Bally Sports teams? The Cardinals just announced they'll receive their full payment for 2024, so I'm not sure if they'll be available on Amazon. I know my brothers were unable to watch them last year (which may have been a good thing) without cable (I used my Dad's Spectrum login to watch on the Bally Sports App).
