  1. AWESOME job on the Federals. Hands down.
  2. How about red pants on the road?
  3. It's definitely the logo on the sleeves.
  4. Are you still working on USFL Tweaks?

I'm looking forward to what you have in store for the 90's.

  5. That would be nice, but how would the CFL be accommodated given the current situation?
  6. Reebok might be a good uniform partner in the 1990's. Is there a chance we'll see logos on the front of the jerseys like the WLAF did?
  7. Nice to hear. I look forward to seeing the new looks.
  8. I love the use of the blue and green. I think the San Antonio Riders (WLAF) branding could be used for another Texas squad. It's too good not to use in my opinion. Maybe for the Houston Texans if the Oilers leave in your timeline?
  9. Isn't Fubo basically cable without the cord? Or satellite without the dish?
  10. Yeah, like that. Now for branding ideas I'd like to suggest... Cincinnati or Charlotte would be great places for the London Monarchs' brand. Barcelona Dragons: Maybe Seattle like in the new XFL? Or St. Louis if the Cards move to Arizona? How about Anaheim? Frankfurt Galaxy: Maybe in Las Vegas for Area 51? Or New Mexico for Roswell? Minnesota Pike would be a good name without the "Fighting" part in the name. The NY/NJ Knights chess piece can pretty much go anywhere. Kansas City maybe? Arizona Rattlers brand? Albuquerque or Vegas. Scottish Claymores sword logo...Not so sure. Maybe it can be a secondary logo for whomever uses the Knights' chess piece? Or a 90's version of the Battle Hawks? Or an earlier Tennessee Titans squad? Maybe an Omaha squad? LA Express...maybe new ownership comes in and changes the name to the Avengers? Raleigh-Durham Skyhawks logo: Could be repurposed for a team where the Air Force has a huge presence. Or maybe Paramount decides to cash in on Top Gun? Amsterdam Admirals logo: San Diego or Norfolk/Hampton Roads/Virginia Beach. Orlando Predators scratch logo: Maybe it could be a secondary for the Michigan Panthers? Unused Jacksonville Jaguars logo: Mexico City if the USFL decides to go global? Or maybe LA if the Express decide to change their name. Birmingham Barracudas logo: Maybe San Diego if the Admirals are in VA. Or if one of the Florida teams undergo an ownership change, like maybe Richard DeVos, Disney or MCA/Universal buying the Orlando Renegades? Shreveport Pirates: Could go to Charlotte and become the Carolina Corsairs? Sacramento Surge: Keep in SAC or maybe Seattle if the Oakland Invaders claim territorial rights to SAC. Sacramento Gold Miners pickaxe: Maybe a secondary for the Denver Gold? Ohio Glory eagle logo: Maybe a rebrand for the Baltimore Blitz or Washington Federals in the Nineties? The one team I could see doing Purple and Teal would be the Oakland Invaders, because the blue and gold, along with the lightning bolt logo, could've easily been the San Diego Chargers in an alternate reality. Rhein Fire logo: Atlanta or Indianapolis maybe?
  11. Will the Portland Thunder wear neon green? If San Diego eventually does get a team, I wanna see the Amsterdam Admirals' identity repurposed for America's Finest City.
  12. Is there a backstory of when the league expanded and some teams relocated?
  13. The regional Fox channels will now become Bally Sports. https://www.tvtechnology.com/news/sinclair-bally-reveal-bally-sports-rebrand
  14. USA Network is available to slightly more homes than NBCSN right? Why not merge NBCSN with the Golf channel?
  15. January 31, 1988: Washington beats Denver in Super Bowl XXII, played literally the day after I was born. March 25, 1991: The first HelmetCam game. December 24, 1994: Chargers beat the Steelers at the Murph to qualify for a first round bye. June 23, 1996: Scottish Claymores trounce the Frankfurt Galaxy in the 1996 World Bowl. Later that night, Stone Cold Steve Austin defeated Jake the Snake at King of the Ring. October 14, 1998: Padres beat the Braves to advance to the World Series. August 6, 1999: Tony Gwynn got his 3000th hit against the Montreal Expos (Google it, kids). January 30, 2000: Arena Football superstar Kurt Warner named Super Bowl XXXIV MVP. June 19, 2000: Kobe and Shaq's first ring. June 13, 2014: Kings beat the Rangers to win the Stanley Cup. November 2, 2016: Cubs win the World Series...finally. February 4, 2018: Cue the Rocky theme song. June 2019: Just a few days apart, the Toronto Raptors and St. Louis Blues win their first rings in their respective sports. (Play Gloria!) February 2, 2020: Chiefs' first Super Bowl ring since the debuts of Scooby Doo, Monty Python and Sesame Street. July 30, 2020: The return of the NBA after the suspension of the season the previous Spring. Nothing can really top January 15, 1995 when I rooted for the Chargers.
  16. This is the logo I think of when I think of the tail end of Tom Osborne's tenure.
  17. Some rough ideas for Gridby. Rough outline of the rules: - Roster size: 14 to 15 on the field plus enough interchange players for a 22-25 man roster. - Teams made up of Goalies, Backs, Midfielders and Forwards. - 4 20 minute quarters or 2 35 minute halves. - Game starts with the referee spiking the ball at midfield. - Ball can be advanced through handball (Aussie), kick (Gaelic) or pass (American). - Six tackles needed to gain possession. - Goalie can inbound to a teammate after the opposing team scores. - Direction of attack determined by coin toss. - Scores after the siren will count. - Field divided into three zones: Defensive, Midfield, Attack. - Players must stay within the zones corresponding to their position on the field. Free kicks: - If the defending team puts the ball out of its own end line, the attacking team get a free kick. - Attacking team can also be awarded a free kick if a defensive foul occurs in the attack zone. - If a player from either team steps out of his designated zone and called offsides, a free kick is awarded to the opposing team. Marks: - Pass or kick must travel more than 15 yards for a mark to count. - Only 6 marks are allowed per possession. - Seventh mark results in a free kick for the opponent. - Spoiling the mark: Opponents can try to swat or intercept the pass attempt.
  18. UNLV has had controversy over their Rebel branding for decades. https://lasvegassun.com/news/2015/nov/17/unlv-students-jessup-hey-reb-mascot-symbol-racism/
  19. Between Grigby and Gridby, which one would be easier to say? It's supposed to be a portmanteau of gridiron and rugby, which could be a new name for my fictional Driveball game.
  20. About those team names for my USFL series, I listed a few named you can vote on.
