  1. Best case for Michigan/TCU: Worst case:
  2. And the owner is still going to claim they didn't have the money to sign Devers or Bogaerts after this, too.
  3. These are the things that small-market teams have to resort to. The world we live in. Smh my head.
  4. There isn't a connection, but it's probably worth noting that 1) the team already has red facemasks and 2) they had a surprise debut earlier this season. It would not shock me to see this happen.
  5. Looks like Michigan will be in all-white tomorrow.
  6. I hate how much I've come around on the black socks for the Bruins. I don't like admitting it, but they look good.
  7. I've never understood the Bruins' resistance to having yellow jerseys, they haven't had a ton lately and they usually don't stick around long. Would love to see them throwback to these from the 40s.
  8. I would not be surprised at all to see the Vikings go Color Rush on Thanksgiving. Looking through their history, they've liked to wear them on Thursdays and late in the season. They aren't scheduled for another primetime home game, and there's only one with a chance of being flexed into it (vs NYG on Christmas Eve). There's a non-zero chance to the Thanksgiving primetime game is the Pats in white over grey against the Vikings in Color Rush.
  9. My guess is those are for primetime. The Pats have four straight primetime games in a row now, but three are on the road and the home one is a throwbacks game. Maybe we saw the silver pants on the road? The Pats could get one of their last two home games flexed to primetime. They play Cincinnati on Christmas Eve and Miami on new Year's Day, either one of those could get moved later depending.
  10. I really like this Washington helmet. Drop the black and the weird gradient and add stripes on the pants and this could be a legitimately good look. As it stands, the red over yellow and white over red uniforms aren't terrible. I'd take those over what the Cardinals and Titans wear for sure.
  11. Michigan back to all-blue this week. Third home game in a row in blue pants.
  12. That finish on the current helmet in particular is gorgeous. Make the stripes on the pants just a single stripe down the leg, and that's a really good uniform as long as they wear the right combinations. Stick to green over white and white over green, both with contrasting socks.
  13. The Providence Friars revealed new uniforms a few weeks back. New ones: Old ones: I think it's an upgrade, although the wordmark looks oddly small now. As for the rest of the uniforms, it's unknown. They've been using these throwbacks in their promo stuff as the dark uniform, but they had home and road uniforms plus home and road throwbacks last year. They also typically have a grey uniform, but that has yet to be seen.
  14. I would love to see how that helmet would pair with the Color Rush jersey. I think it could look nice with the red numbers.
  15. Uniforms without white or grey pants are absolutely a case-by-case thing for me. I like those White Sox and Rockies uniforms, but I don't like the Dodgers. I also wouldn't like all-black or all-green for other black or green teams necessarily. I think it's all about how the uniform is executed and the context of the team. I honestly think Philly's identity right now with the mix of uniforms is just about perfect. You can get away with three different home uniforms without issue when you play 81 games there. The set rotation combined with a clear hierarchy also makes that work better. It's clear the pinstripes are No. 1 and the other two uniforms are alternates.
  16. No, they were the primary home uniforms that year. They wore those throwbacks as the home uniform and the previous white uniforms but with white horns as the road uniform. They also had the yellow Color Rush.
  17. As someone who watches a lot of coaches film, especially for the Patriots, trying to identify defensive linemen in particular without the shoulder numbers is really annoying. I usually use things like sleeves, socks, and shoes to identify players before numbers for the Patriots, which is not the case for other teams. When guys are in a pile, having the numbers in an additional spot definitely helps with picking guys out. As someone who used to broadcast, too, I can attest to more numbers being a positive from that perspective. It helps when players turn at odd angles and you can't see their front or back clearly. They absolutely have a purpose.
  18. It really is impressive that so large a head can contain so small a brain.
  19. Wow, I did not expect to like this as much as I do. That looks really good.
