  1. I guess, maybe the Broncos uniforms have run their course, but that’s not to say they are not or never were good/great uniforms. I think time has eroded the uniforms through cut and template changes. I think the blue jersey is superior to the orange jersey as a primary home look. I do think whatever direction they decide to go in, they need to build upon the current uniforms and logos. They won in them and the logo is great. The number font is unique and legible. the contrast is between navy and orange is better than royal/orange IMO. The uniforms were game changing, for lack of a better phrase, and I think going backwards to a traditional striped uniform as the primary look would be the wrong move. Keep it modern and simple and wear the orange crush uniforms as a throwback. Have your cake and eat it too.
  2. I’m not really crazy about the red helmet for the Texans. I think blue is far and away the best option between the the two. The only changes I’d like to see them make would be to wear red socks with the blue pants, change up the pants stripe to a single solid tapered stripe to match the shoulders and maybe promote the red jersey to primary. They don’t need to reinvent the wheel, maybe just polish up the rims. Relating to the Commanders: everything about the rebrand sucks, name, logos, uniforms. Washington football team was better in every single way and if I had my way they’d go back to that ASAP. If/when Snyder sells the team I’d assume we will at least get the classic Washington uniforms back, but probably with a W on the helmet. They’ll be the Slurs/WFT in all but name.
  3. If only the Cowboys were wearing the correct pants and da Bears weren’t wearing jackolanterns for helmets…
  4. If it wasn’t already obvious that nobody was paying attention to the details in Denver, their white over blue combo is the current state of that team in a nutshell. Jeepers creepers, that’s bad. It reminds me of high school copies of the Broncos from my high school years when schools could only afford one pair of pants for their two jerseys
  5. As much as I am NOT a fan of the proliferation on non-throwback alternate helmets in the NFL, if there was ever a uniform that just screamed out for it, the Chargers navy over navy alt would be the perfect candidate. A navy helmet would really finish the “dark mode” look or whatever they call it.
  6. The Bears orange helmets are tacky and I hate them. That is all
  7. Yeah I don’t think the Cavs looks “bad” by any stretch, but they sure could use some gold trim on those uniforms. They’re inoffensive to me because there just isn’t much there, same goes for the Jazz really.
  8. What’s that on the orange trim? Is it supposed to be turkey tracks?
  9. I’m so happy for Albert. This season has been a fun ride and I couldn’t imagine any scenario where he would get to 700 when the season began. I just wish I could have seen it live. I’ve got two kids under 4 and West coast games start after my bedtime and if we’re being totally honest here, I didn’t expect him to hit one, let alone two dingers the way the offense has been sputtering lately. It would have been awesome for Albert to do it at home, can’t wait til next Sunday when I get to see him in person and Busch one last time. It’s been amazing to see him come full circle with the Cardinals and remind everyone else how great he really is. We all forgot about Pujols in LA and he did fall off a cliff. I do wonder, if he had stayed in STL, with a club that isn’t apparently dysfunctional and incompetent, if the second half of his career would have been better. He might be the HR king himself? Doesn’t matter though, that’s not how it went. I grew up watching the Cardinals every day and Pujols was my hero. He was unstoppable for 10 years and I cried like a baby on my girlfriend’s shoulder (who is now my wife) at 17 years old when he left and I was angry for quite a while. I got to see him come back to St Louis in 2019 and the ovation in person was incredible. I love baseball and I’m so happy we have all been reminded of the greatness of Albert Pujols because he deserves this after the lost years with the Angels. sidenote: I hate that it happened in Appletv. That broadcast sucks
  10. Albert did it!! He passed that piece of trash with dinger 697 today!!! 700 here we come
  11. The big underskirt looks ridiculous. On top of that, I know it’s been said multiple times but it’s just one more thing to be grabbed. If I was a coach and one of my guys got dragged down by his huge shirt hanging out of his otherwise skin tight uniform, I’d lose my . I can’t believe coaches allow that crap. Back in my day you cut off your undershirt just below your pads so you didn’t chafe your nipples on your shoulder pads but you als didn’t have to worry about a big heavy wet shirt coming untucked from your pants and hanging out the bottom of your jersey. Edit: not sure what going with the weird formatting of the first paragraph-Nevermind, now it’s gone and I don’t want to retype the whole thing. In a nutshell, underskirts suck
  12. As a very very casual soccer follower and US citizen, I think the red/white Waldo kit with blue shorts would be my choice for the quintessential US soccer look. It’s reflective of the flag and can be instantly recognized as “America’s look”. Please take that opinion with a grain of salt as I only have a very peripheral knowledge of soccer kits and tradition but that’s my $.02 on the matter.
  13. 693 last night to beat the Cubs 1-0. Albert was the co- NL player of the week last week. It’s like it’s 2007 again. This is so much fun, screw 697, I want 700!
  14. The cardinals look like Atlanta circa 2003 with their bass boat glitter black helmets. What a dumb alternate helmet. edit: the glitter flake is totally undetectable on TV so they just look black, even more like the Falcons.
  15. Albert hit a grand slam for #690 today! He has been on a tear since the HR Derby. I so desperately want him to get to 700, a long shot, I know but I’d settle for 697 to get past Arod. He’s a shell of what he was obviously but it’s been so much fun to see him contribute for one last go-round.
  16. I think that would have been awesome if they had the guts to stick with Washington Football Team.
  17. I agree with everything FinsUp said. Those two edits are pretty much all you need to do to have a great update of the Dolphins classic logo. Maybe define the beak/mouth a little bit more too? It’s definitely a really good start
  18. The bird looks a little chubby. I think it’s the shape of the red bit on the cheek. Maybe make that less round and more sleek? I’m not really sure how to articulate how to fix it, but I just see a chubby cheek
  19. I agree with the sentiment. I’m just now 28 and it strange to see things from my youth become “old” in pop culture and sports. In my mind, a throwback is a uniform that comes from the 80’s or earlier. Its a real mind eff to think that 2000 was 22 years ago.
  20. The fact I had forgotten about the green uniforms speaks to the sad state of constant turnover of NBA uniforms. Those are really sharp, I wouldn’t mind seeing a matching white version as primary uniforms. I kinda like the blue, so long as it remains a trim color, not a primary color. Green/Cream/Blue is a very Wisconsin color scheme IMO. If there’s a color they need to ditch it’s definitely black.
  21. Make that sucker green and it’s a real winner
  22. My wife says the cardinals helmet looks like a fishing boat. She’s the best
  23. I feel violated by the Bears orange helmet in a way that none of the other asinine alt helmets have made me feel. BFBS is par for the course, the Saints helmet is ridiculous, Texans’ is unnecessary obviously, but an orange Bears helmet? Why? Who thought this was a good idea? It is the quintessential example of why alternate helmets in the NFL (besides throwbacks) are just flat out stupid. An NFL team’s identity is tied so tightly to its helmet. Many helmets rarely, if ever change and the god damn bears haven’t effectively changed their uniforms for 70? years. Why water your brand down with this crap? Why would you want to? Do people really buy replica helmets? I feel like the guy who would buy an orange Bears helmet or black Saints helmet for his man cave would buy one whether the team actually wears it or not, because he has horrible taste and judgement. Long story short: slippery slope, alternate NFL helmets/uniforms suck and I’m way more distraught about this whole thing than my wife has the ability to understand.
  24. That’s honestly a tough one, seeing them all together. I think C and B might be tied for 1st, maybe C by an nose for oldtimey points.
