  1. Thanks! I have a few ideas in mind for the D-Backs. I'm struggling with San Francisco because I want to take the basic idea of their City Connects (orange with no black, Golden Gate Bridge trim) and apply it to an older uniform but I'm having a hard time making it work. I think it's made me realize that the Giants really have the worst ones so far, unfortunately. Anyway, up today I have an Astros fauxback: ASTROS 1975 I like the Astros' newly unveiled City Connect unis so much that I probably won't even be tweaking them. The new design lends itself quite nicely to a 1975-mid '80s fauxback design. Instead of actual gradients, I used block gradients (specifically, Houston's tequila sunrise/rainbow guts pattern) and applied them to the script, numbers, cap logo and piping on an era-appropriate pullover style uniform. I also recreated "Space Land" using Kabel Black, a font very similar to the Astros' '70s-80s wordmark. C&C appreciated as usual!
  2. I don't think I've ever seen someone try the '83 era White Sox in just powder blue and navy. Very original! I also really like that Guardians fauxback. The updated gradient for the Rays is also a big improvement.
  3. Thanks, guys! Up today I have some fauxback designs: CUBS 1933 A mono navy version of the Cubs' 1933 home uniform with wishbone "C" logo. NATIONALS 1935 A design heavily inspired by the 1930s' Homestead Grays home uniforms with T-bars. DODGERS 1939 An inverted version of the Dodgers' 1916 checkerboard uniforms, with a "Brooklyn" replacing "Los Angeles" and a script "B" on the cap and sleeve. C&C appreciated! Still thinking of fauxback ideas for the D-Backs, Red Sox and Giants.
  4. Great work on the AL East! I really like what you did with the Orioles in particular. One complaint I have with the Rays design is that the gradient starting from light blue to yellow makes it very hard to read against the sky blue jersey. I'd just use the same style gradient as the original Devil Rays uniforms. Or, is it possible to create a new gradient that starts with the Rays' navy blue and then ends with yellow?
  5. I must be the only who actually likes the new light blue alt design. At the very least, I think it's a good thing that they don't just have the exact same design for every jersey in their wardrobe just in different colors, maybe because I find their "Rays" script so boring.
  6. The Astros appear to be teasing their City Connect unis, which are being unveiled on April 10th: Unsurprisingly, seems we'll be getting something with a big space program theme.
  7. Shameless plug, but I addressed my issues with the Nats' City Connect set and made a few tweaks here:
  8. City Connect is back, and so am I! WASHINGTON NATIONALS: Washington unveiled their City Connect set this morning and I have some thoughts: What I like: 1. The color scheme 2. The cherry blossom theme 3. The cap logo/design 4. The D.C. flag What I don't like: 1. "WSH" on the front of the jersey 2. The off-white pants 3. Lack of piping/trim To address my issues with the set, I made a few changes. First, I went with matching slate gray pants to go along with the jersey, which in turn meant pink undersleeves and socks. Next, I used a font called "Grand Gibson" to create a "District" wordmark in the style of the Homestead Grays. (To my knowledge we haven't seen the back of the jerseys yet, so I just used the same font for the numbers.) Lastly, as much as I like the use of the D.C. flag, I don't like that it looks like it's just kind of floating there on the left sleeve, so I decided to incorporate the flag into the actual sleeve design, with two thick pink stripes and three stars facing outward. C&C appreciated!
  9. That was my thought as well. Also, no teams unveiling in August is strange, since that's when the Dodgers released theirs last year.
  10. “Following their in-game debut on April 9, future City Connect on-field debuts will be made by the Houston Astros on April 20, the Kansas City Royals on April 30, the Colorado Rockies on June 4, the Los Angeles Angels on June 11, Milwaukee Brewers on June 24, and San Diego Padres on July 8.“
  11. Speaking of the Braves, anyone know what this is?
  12. Where did you hear the Braves are getting one this year?
  13. All teams from last year will use those designs for at least three seasons.
  14. Not yet, but based on those Stance leaks from a few weeks ago sounds like it’ll be the Padres, Rockies and Nats for starters.
  15. Not sure if this has been mentioned yet, but it sounds like the Nats’ City Connect look is being unveiled next Tuesday.
  16. Speaking of City Connect, I wonder when we'll see our first new design. There should be about twice as many teams rolled out this year than last, so I imagine we’ll get about two teams each month of the season.
  17. No. Unless something's changed, the way it was originally announced, the City Connect program is a slow roll out over three years, so a few more teams than last season (I'm guessing 11-12 total) will debut theirs this year, and the remaining teams will unveil theirs in 2023.
  18. You're right, I meant to include 75th.
  19. I'd say even a 5th anniversary is unnecessary. 10th, 25th, 50th, 100th, and then every 25 year anniversary after that seems fair.
  20. Remember when people were speculating that Jeter's involvement was going to somehow result in the team looking more like the Yankees? So much for that.
