Minor/Independent/Collegiate League Baseball Logo/Uniform Changes
TBGKon replied to BigMac12's topic in Sports Logo News
Thats a bit of a stretch to call that a ripoff... -
I thought the same thing...

Not sure if the Nike MLB template will follow the college template, but here's a few jerseys with the placket and stripes. Personally I dont see it as narrow.
-
New court and uniforms for South Florida. Honestly not a fan of the uniform script, looks like a Walmart jersey.

The normal ticket size for a sporting event (similar to the one below) I've been to was 2 inches by 5.5 inches.

Not in MLB, but the St Louis Rams went from royal and athletic gold to navy and vegas gold after Super Bowl XXXIV.

Good luck finding anything, I would assume it was strictly digital only as that's been the trend in the industry.

Safe to assume Rice will get the cease and desist too? Theirs does include navy and silver, but we all know what they were doing.

2023 NFL Regular Season Through Super Bowl LVIII
TBGKon replied to PittsburghSucks's topic in Sports In General
It's Chicago and LA. Two of the three largest markets in the US. Even if it's a questionable matchup, it still brings eyes. -
RE: Merging of NFL Threads In the opinion of the moderator team, it's easier to manage as two separate threads. That way the predictions don't get conflated with actual news. Of course, duplicate conversations will occur, but we'd get that in merged circumstances as well. You always have a choice to view the section of your preference.

It's still an organization, but it's focused on the Pinellas County (beachside) area. Tampa proper has it's own board. Living in the area for over 25 years, there's definitely a bit of a rivalry between the sides of the bay, and branding any team to one city vs the other would alienate the other one big time. Tampa Bay is a proper locale identifier since the Rowdies and Buccaneers began using it almost 50 years ago.

If you're referring to the Rangers, since the collar logo as subway tile it might have something to do with the subway.

Make it the City Connect and call it a day. The Rays still have to release their City Connect, so its possible.

I think I know my issue with the current black Carolina Hurricanes jersey. The logo is now accurate with two flags, but its too vertical. It needs some horizontal balance, like the triangle that was there before.

As a fan of one of the little guys (ie. midsize/small market), it's nice to see new blood in the World Series. I don't care about rating for TV broadcasts, I'm a sports fan.

I don’t think the league would worry about fan travel when having teams in outlying locations, but more for the logistics of team travel. Charter flights are expensive, especially for the longer ones.

I understand that Seattle had the fanbase, but geographically Seattle is an outlier.

I was honestly looking at the Bucs remaining home schedole on Gridiron Uniform Database and out of the rest of the home games we have Tennessee, Carolina, Jacksonville, and New Orleans. - Carolina has already announced the blue jersey for the game in Tampa, so thats another white at home. - The pewter alts are likely to still be worn once. I suspect it might be against Jacksonville or Tennessee as the pewter alts haven't been used in divisional games yet. - Just my feelings, but seeing the Bucs and Jags go red v teal on Christmas Eve would be interesting, but unlikely. - Bucs might go red against New Orleans so the Saints bring out their white Color Rush

Pitt wore this uniform twice in 2020. Once against Louisville and later against Notre Dame.

South Florida is bringing out arguably their best look on the road at UConn this week.

Yes it was, there was a shift after the preseason and camp.
