  1. Good, we won't have to hear his voice on TNT anymore. Never liked his analysis on NBC/TNT in the pregame shows.
  2. Also, more evidence pointing towards Brady being "done" done.
  3. Well, they cant be the Rays unless its the Rays proposing this. Right now its for expansion, and this group has been around since 2019.
  4. I was hoping to see a set of light blue pants this year. Maybe the 4+1 suggestion came about too quick and they have to wait until 2024.
  5. The proposed location is in one of the most challenging areas for traffic (just north of SeaWorld near the intersection of I-4 and SR-528). No way do locals go there on a regular basis.
  6. A few notable games have been released today.
  7. Per http://www.uniformlineup.com/#, they wore them 14 out of 29 times in April, mostly on the road. Now that the road grays are eliminated, the light blue jersey is what they wear on the road when the home team chooses to wear black or dark blue uniforms.
  8. I feel like it's already been trending this way unofficially. I've seen a handful of games on Fox that were all AFC and vice versa with all NFC on CBS.
  9. It wasn't being updated for 2023, so I'm assuming that the owner just let things lapse.
  10. Hard to say, I know US Bank Stadium in Minnesota was constructed to have a retractile sideline to fit a baseball field, but I don't know if Allegiant was built with that in mind.
  11. That was also nearly 70 years ago. The developmental model in professional baseball is a completely different situation. Just using the current affiliate system, the following AAA teams are within 150 miles by car (some less than 100) Sugar Land (to Houston) Worcester (to Boston) Columbus (to Cleveland) Scranton Wilkes-Barre (to the Bronx) Toledo (to Detroit) Tacoma (to Seattle) Buffalo (to Toronto) St Paul (to Minneapolis) Gwinnett (to Atlanta) Lehigh Valley (to Philadelphia) Sacramento (to San Francisco) That's more than a third of the league, not to mention Round Rock and Omaha are just a hair over 150 miles. If the A's and Aviators sharing the market is bound to happen, it's not like they're the first to do it.
  12. There's room in the parking lot around the Trop to build a new stadium. If necessary, i could see them extending the lease another year if necessary. if they can get things rolling in 2024 theres still plenty of time to have a new ballpark ready for opening day 2028.
  13. No, theyre a great alternate. Their current set is probably the best they could ever do.
  14. The can definitely schedule to work the Aviators and A's out of Las Vegas Ballpark, as long as they plan in advance. The AAA season goes from April-September and a series is Tuesday-Sunday each week. They could alternate homestands I'm sure to make it work.
  15. This would likely be the case for other Bally affiliates like Midwest (Cardinals part owner), San Diego (Padres part owner), Southwest (Rangers part owner), and West (Angels part owner). I would have to think MLB could step in for the remaining Bally affiliates not listed above and create a similar alignment.
  16. I think I found out a good reason why we might have seen a Bandits relocation this year. Between the weekend of April 13-15 (Taylor Swift) and May 20th (Ed Sheeran) the stadium hosted big concerts. I cant speak for how much time it takes for stage construction and stuff associated but that may have booked up a few available weekends for the USFL. It would be strange, but a return of the Bandits in 2024 if it makes it that far could be an option.
  17. Right there with you @raysox. That TB logo I think was a Reebok thing. I seem to recall a Rams R hat and New England NE logo too. Here it is
  18. While the fanbase topic may have been part of the issue, look up Atlanta Spirit LLC (now coincidentally known as Atlanta Hawks LLC) as an ownership group and you'll see another issue why the Thrashers failed. https://bleacherreport.com/articles/712210-franchise-assassins-how-the-atlanta-sprit-group-killed-the-thrashers
  19. I was partial to these road unis instead. The large star on the Houston script looked cluttered, and the simpler Houston script closely resembled the home Astros script.
  20. It wouldn't surprise me to see more teams change the policy.
  21. No, the hybrid hat came back with the throwbacks for the 20th anniversary in 2018, and they’ve stuck around since then
