The white and blue hoops on the socks/stirrups have been and are quite a big feature of the Cards look.

The Devils set looks really good. I like the red, just wondering if you could make the wordmark more devilish by putting the horns on the J and the tail on the tail of the Y?

I think they are nice, the green and the golden brown work well together and the clawmarks on the numbers look really 90s. The alt with it's claw marks is great, but if all the alts are going to be the same base colour as either the light or the dark, I think that's a bit of a missed opportunity, as the alt would look great green with black clawmarks separated by white. Also, a feature as awesome as clawmarks should be on all the numbers, it is just too good to leave off. Really looking forward to more 90s style sweaters, should be awesome.

With the Reverse Retros, how deep exactly is that well? I know it's a lot deeper for some teams than others, but realistically, how many seasons could they do it before they start rehashing old ideas or doing shirts that define "distinction without a difference"?

What about the extra piping and hooped stirrups?

Scranton, La Havana, Dover and Atlantic City. Having three teams in small cities that near to Philly which all have average income per capita under $50,000, and the other in the Capital of a nation under a US embargo is an interesting choice.

Huh? There should be plenty to work with for a Diamondbacks special jersey. Thanks to a little thing called mescaline, the possibilities should be many. The Southwestern art style hinted at with the A logo, the opportunity to use the finest colour scheme that peyote can buy, and making something that looked like the design department at Nike in charge of the Arizona Diamondbacks CC had spent a night outside Tempe tripping balls around a campfire whilst listening to the Meat Puppets. There was loads to work with - The Mystery Castle, Pagago Park, Tovrea Castle - I'm sure there are no other places that could offer inspiration.

It looks like Bayern are going to release two white shirts with gold trim this season with their tribute to the Olympiastadion in October. That is just overkill.

Helvetica looks great in lowercase on Switzerland shirts. If anyone can get away with using such a ubiquitous font, its the Swiss with that one.

AS Roma, changing to their Gelato sets with the Gratton designed Lupetto logo. Leeds did start wearing white shirts, shorts and socks as the home in September of 1960, before Revie became manager, though the yellow and blue trim did disappear.

I own a 2010-13 Oilers replica home jersey and I was wearing it when I wrote that. The blue on the shirt looked lighter than the value that is on that site. It's also a different shade to the blue on the crest. The colour matching on that shirt isn't the best - as well as the different shades of blue, the orange for the cuffs + yoke, crest + and reebok logo, collar and the centre and hem stripe are all different shades. It would be surprising to me if Tampa Bay, Toronto, Edmonton and Vancouver (well, not the first two) all used the same shade of blue during the aformentioned time period, but that might just be me. If someone could post a pic of all four of those jerseys in the same picture to show the colour similarity, that would be great. I do use the site a lot to choose colours, just that moment threw doubt into my mind.

The kit history is great and pretty convincing, but the elephant in the room is pretty hard to ignore. One Bundesliga team playing in that stadium, unworthy of football thanks to that running track, is bad enough. Sooner Hertha leaves that stadium the better. Two of them would be just awful and two Bundesliga teams using that stadium is probably the least realistic part of this. In terms of playing to capacity IRL, Hertha have been bottom in terms of percentage for a decade and the last time the team got an average capacity percentage over 70 was in 11/12. The only team that comes close in terms of numbers is Freiburg. With another team using that stadium, Hertha would be drawing even worse. Both of the teams would play in a stadium that was half empty on average at best and only coming close to selling out when Bayern were in town. And as for success under those conditions - forget it. Just staying in the top flight of German football for any length of time would be an acheivement. No way does Borussia Berlin win the amount of titles stated. IRL, Hertha have never won the Bundesliga nor the Pokal and in 1994 were 10 million DM in the red. It beggars belief that Borussia, sharing the stadium, would have done any better. On the history, apart from the aformentioned success, it's well written and very believable, especially when NB got the contract.

The blue seems really saturated, much more so than the current colours, and I think making the back solid red except for the hem stripes counts as more than a slight alteration, especially when we are talking about the Habs. The lack of script on the inside of the collar is also pretty noticable. It's a nice feature to have there.

Apart from the recoloured crest which as per many monochrome ones looks cheap, the Bayer away looks good and the third is nice too. The Valencia home is okay. but Puma should have gone further with the retro look by giving it a lace up or a button up collar, it looks like a normal Valencia shirt with a throwback crest without any other old style touches otherwise.

Those trucker hats with the grill are real nice. And as a dude that isn't a fan of the MKE/414 logo, a cap with the grill on it would be an upgrade for the City Connect.

The Oilers actually did almost the same thing as Boston did when they brought back the royal blue and orange as an alternate after eleven seasons using navy, copper and red. Bruins 1967/68 to 1973/74 and 2007/08 to 2016/17 Jerseys. And the Oilers 1981/82 to 1994/95 and 2008/09 alternate/2010/11 to 2016/17 main jersey. As we can see, the Bruins and the Oilers did most of the same thing - Change up the hem and sleeve stripes, the yoke shape, the number font and outlines (Edmonton also subtly changed their name font) and the collar. The biggest differences were the logos and striping. Edmonton changed the previous logo they used by changing the red outline stripe to white and changing the colour of the oil drop to orange and the lettering to royal blue, while the Bruins introduced a new shoulder logo, put a black outline around the B for the main logo and made the white outline thicker. This means the Edmonton logos for the two jerseys shown are far closer than the main one for Boston. With the hem and sleeve striping, Boston changed up the striping size, added slightly more distance between the stripes, made the width of the gold and white stripes equal, and there was now a black section beneath the hem stripes. The Oilers changed only the size of the stripes. Edmonton WON'T be bringing back their 1981 to 95 jerseys back "stitch for stitch" as you imply. They will be just changing the colours back to Royal Blue and Orange, using the same template as the 2017 to 2022 home jersey did. And if Edmonton had kept the royal blue and orange they used 2010 to 2017 and just updated to the adidas template, they would have done the same as Boston did. According to Trucolor (which I take with a pinch of salt), they used the same shade of blue on their blue and orange jersey from 2008 to 2017 as Toronto, Vancouver and Tampa do, but the orange (and green) made a huge difference. More importantly, the Isles and Oilers have used different shades of blue and orange and while we don't know the exact shade yet, it seems likely that the two teams will use different shades. That, along with the two teams having very different striping and yoke patterns, makes the two teams pretty distinct. And I have no idea where this "few years not wearing royal blue and orange" comes from. It's absolute bulls**t - Edmonton went over a decade without those colours in their uniform rotation and have spent the past five seasons wearing orange and navy.

In the Cowboy Universe, was Gene Autry still the owner of the California Angels? Or were they the only team not owned by a Cowboy?

Remember the Oilers haven't been wearing navy "for a few years". They have spent almost two decades wearing Navy as part of their first choice uniform. The Oilers changed to navy with copper and red trim for the 1996-97 season, and wouldn't return to the classic uniform until they brought back that uniform as an alternate for 2008-2009. It wouldn't be until 2010 - 11 that the royal blue and orange returned as the first choice. That is eleven seasons till it made a return, and 13 until it came back as the first choice. They have been wearing the current navy and orange for five seasons. Combined, that is 18 seasons the team has been wearing Navy as part of their first choice colour scheme. Hell, considering 2000 and, well, everything, it feels like the Oilers have been wearing that scheme for even longer.

Get shot of the silver shadow effect, that is one feature that really dates the current FC Dallas logo and it has the same effect here. Just red, white and blue.

I can see it. Personally, I would keep the Stars in Charm City, as the Natty Boh colour scheme now fits the city like a glove. Let Indy keep the Colts.

The Oilers are not going back to a perfect replica of the 1980's jerseys, because with the current adidas template, that isn't possible. It's going to have a different yoke shape, a different collar, different hem striping due to the cut of the jersey and other details.
