  1. This is a nice journey down what could have been memory lane, and very convincing. Two things that come to mind, and both related to the city flag. I wonder if crenelation patterns would have appeared (I can see them as the hangar effect), and would gold have found its way into the palette over time? Do you have any ideas for the Whalers?
  2. I would love to see the Ducks go back to Wild Wing as the main logo and the D on the shoulders.
  3. So, I was trying to come up with a road alt that fitted with the "Surf A" concept and used the same colours as the road. I hit a blank, and instead decided to go back to the classic Angels look for two alternates. This home and road set uses the colours worn by the California Angels. The font used for the wordmark is Dealerplate California, modelled after the script used on the state license plate, and the A has the sparkly effect halo. As does the sleeve logo, a map of Orange County inside a baseball diamond with a star marking the location of Angels stadium in Anaheim. And speaking of Anaheim, that name is on the road. The OC Diamond logo was inspired by a logo concept I saw that used the outline of Orange County instead of California for the "script and state" logo. I didn't take note of the link to that logo, so if anyone knows the set I'm talking about, let me know and I'll give credit. C+C would be cool, so let me know.
  4. The Sash looks great, but those blue side panels are nasty, hopefully they've been changed to the shirt base colour.
  5. Love the logos, both of them are excellent. As for kits, you should go all in on cream for the home - cream shirts, socks and shorts, like a wave washing away the opposition.
  6. Thanks, I do agree that the shade of pink could be a bit deeper for the road and a red cap (or a mostly red one at least) would work better, and I should have used the cap that the IRI City Connect uses, because that cap is boss. I also made a slight adjustment on the baseball. I'll try and knock up a matching "Anaheim" script to the Angels surf inspired one, because there really needs to be a script jersey somewhere in the set. Cheers! To be honest, the shape of the container was originally part of a logo for a fictional soccer team called "Anaheim Apollos" for a "what if Disney decided to start a MLS team as well as a NHL one?" and I took part of the shield from there. I'll work on that along with the surf style Anaheim script. In the meantime, here is the adjusted home/road/home alt. Changed the name and number font to Maiden Orange (a 50's styled font) and the inner collar slogan font to Dealerplate California, a font inspired by the one on the California license plates. Also made the caps and batting helmets mostly red. Also made the shade of pink tinged gray darker. At a bit of a loss for a road alt, tried the Disney era navy and it didn't really fit the rebrand,
  7. So, the rather nice City Connect outfits for the team from Orange County got me thinking - What if The Halos decided to rebrand using cream and red, a version of the A from the surf inspired script and a secondary logo that has a nod to their home city? And went all in on a (sort of) two colour scheme? So here is the primary, with the A from the surf shack style script and a sparkly effect halo from the 2002 jersey kicked up a notch or two. The secondary is a winged baseball with the same halo as the A, with the wings from the 1997-2001 logo on a background shaped like the Disneyland Resort sign in Anaheim. The home and road have a red placket inspired by the 1993-1996 uniforms, with the cream and crimson for the home, and the road is a rose tinted gray. The alternative home is crimson with cream sleeves and shoulder striping. All the uniforms have the Halo A on the cap, batting helmet and shirt chest, the Winged Baseball on the sleeve and "The Halo Shines Tonight" script on the inside of the baselayer. The template is a creation of rsaline and can be found here. So, that's my first set of designs for a baseball team, C+C would be cool. Cheers.
  8. The home looks nice and probably will be similar to what nike comes up with. The shirt would look nicer with matching cuffs and collar, or with no cuffs like on the Euro 96 shirt. The change looks nasty with the two colour crest and the red and light blue don't exactly work that well together, and the socks look weird with a much deeper red than either of the shades used on the shirt.
  9. Those colours on the Optimized Orca set work so well together, and both the Orca C and Johnny look great on the front of the Jersey. The Salish Art Style jerseys are wonderful.
  10. Sorry, I meant either Gold/Sparkle effect silver for just the halo on the wordmark, cap logo and secondary logo instead of the yellow.
  11. The Angels set looks great, though the yellow on the secondary logo looks pretty jarring, it would be a big improvement to just have the Halo in yellow on it. Speaking of Halos, I would be interested to see how the set would look with the gold used on the 50th anniversary jerseys or the sparkly silver effect on the 2002 ones.
  12. The home and away for Nashville look great. The alternate really needs one more stripe on the middle, especially as you've got 6 stripes on the numbers. The "keyboard" pattern on the waist of the city jersey looks weird as hell, actually making it a keyboard pattern (as on the inside of the collar of the other three jerseys) would be a huge improvement.
  13. CJB looks great. The flag of Chicago is the most iconic flag of any city in the US, so it's entirely right that you use it as inspiration for a Blackhawks jersey and it looks great. As for the Flames, the V looks great and Blasty is resplendent on the chest, but the Flames really need to be in a majority red shirt for the home.
  14. Expand the project, but don't touch NFTs with a bargepole.
  15. IIRC, The Sounders were the first to use the Orca when the name was revived in 1994, the Canucks introduced their Orca in 1997. As long as the Orca is distinct, then it shouldn't be a problem.
  16. The Bruins set is really good, but the NHL Logo Background panel being white on the Home and the City Connect looks odd. Making the panel the same colour as the main body on the home and the same colour as the yoke on the city connect might make a couple of really nice uniforms even nicer.
  17. It is. Someone was watching This is Spinal Tap for sure.
  18. So Vermont Green have launched their first logo. It's green and has a smiley face.
  19. So why exactly does the Space Needle imagery have to be leased, and how much does it cost? Considering just how iconic the building is and makes for a great symbol, I would consider it money well spent.
  20. If Seattle want to replace the rave green, then they could do a lot worse than use the green 008f67 and the blue 1b294b. Those two shades work pretty well together IMO.
  21. Liking the trend in the reduction of white jerseys, but I do hope MLS/The Teams/adidas don't throw the baby out with the bathwater, as if done right and with the right shorts and stockings, white jerseys can look just as boss as other colours.
  22. It's going to be black with red trim. Apparently, it was described as "looking like a training kit".
  23. And so it should be. A team that can draw an average of 40k plus should not be getting a hand me down. There have been leaks for MTL, the shirt will be white with a blue graphic which is either similar the one found on an old Arsenal kit or identical.
  24. The new Revs home does have red on the cuffs and sleeves (or at least the match version does). As for the change, no arguement on that one.
