  1. Fewer players with longer hair obscuring the logo then compared to now? I kind of assumed this was an MLB move for that reason all along.
  2. I'll take it in a different direction -- it shows the pull created by being on WGN all over the country and creating the mystique that is Wrigley Field.
  3. Agreed. That doesn't excuse someone from being an ill-informed nozzle.
  4. I'm scanning the 2018 NFL Changes thread looking for anything on these lines. There's nothing, but it was said that Color Rush was no longer a thing. Given that, those people who were remembering the Dolphins and Niners white unis being called Color Rush are likely mis-remembering, if not thinking of Madden.
  5. Like I said, I didn't remember that. Maybe someone will have better google skills than I, but that remembrance doesn't seem supported by the initial article to which I linked.
  6. That may be, but the mothership doesn't mention it: https://news.sportslogos.net/2019/05/20/dolphins-to-wear-white-throwback-uniforms-in-2019/football/
  7. Wow - I don't recall that. Thanks!
  8. Brandon Woodruff and the Brewers reportedly agree on a 2-yr deal. Woody is not expected to pitch this year. https://www.jsonline.com/story/sports/mlb/brewers/2024/02/19/brewers-reportedly-signing-brandon-woodruff-to-two-year-deal/72658583007/
  9. I don't think it's 2 AND 2. It's 2 total. Chargers have no throwback. Dolphins and 49ers have no color rush. Panthers could have a silver alt, assuming there aren't too many jerseys total.
  10. Per Trucolor.net (which confirms what my eyes thought), they're not identical colors. They're close. Nor are the uniform components identical. Number font is different, design of the stripes are different. I also don't believe that the statement was made that they don't look like each other. They are not something that I would confuse in the least. Ya both ought to just chill a little.
  11. Backup player money >>> Quality Control Assistant money, and probably also position coach money
  12. It's happened before ... https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/P/PedeDo00.htm
  13. Really? I thought they were the trendy pick.
  14. Thanks for the first, but the second seems to be arbitrary. It sound like someone trying to give themselves a nickname - you earn one. I'm not sure you have the authority to set the rules for what deserves to be included in a discussion of Big # sports leagues.
  15. From earlier in this thread: Kickoffs Kickoffs will look like more traditional college/NFL kickoffs but will take place from the 20-yard line of the kicking team. A kickoff out of bounds will give possession to the receiving team 30 yards from the spot of the kickoff or at the spot where the ball went out of bounds. A kickoff that is untouched by the receiving team may only be recovered by the kicking team up to 20 yards from the spot of the kick.
  16. Just because the OP lists MLS doesn't make it so, either. College football and college basketball are FAR more 'Big #' than MLS.
  17. We don't all know that there is a Big 5. We disagree with that statement out of hand.
  18. Doesn't it have to so that it's a team color and they can then make the black alt?
  19. I didn't see any houses where the back yard ended at the parking lot of the stadium when I went to Orchard Park.
  20. Except you know it's there before you move there. You choose to live there, so it is desirable.
