  1. I'm not a fan of the use of a logo or wordmark on an NFL jersey. I think the combination of colors, font, and (where applicable) stripes ought to be sufficient to identify the team. #needsstripes I get that this meshes with historical Cardinals jerseys. I'm ok without stripes but admit that wordmarks or logos are the rule, not the exception.
  2. How many names in the Big 4 match their location? Not enough to make this a valid argument, IMO.
  3. I understand what you're saying, but the jersey itself should be an indication of who it belongs to.
  4. I like that better than anything I've seen so far. Plus a 2 or 1 next year. If he doesn't take 65% of their snaps, it's a 2. Otherwise a 1.
  5. It's a play on words. After Favre was traded, a popular shirt stated "We'll never forget you, Brent" For those who thought the Packers were selling from a short perspective, this seems like a great deal. Time to move on.
  6. Absolutely agree. Maybe I'd quibble about your Boston discussion. You aren't wrong. I think it makes sense to focus on a single source of inspiration on it, because it really says Boston and it doesn't muddy the waters by doing too much.
  7. It's a great color scheme. Those socks, though
  8. Unique isn't the issue for me. I like the Broncos in Royal Blue better than Navy. As someone earlier said, their former uniforms with a recolored current helmet. Done.
  9. I think these teams have only done mono-white, while every other team has done mono-color. Is this correct? Cowboys Giants Raiders
  10. I'm trying to figure how high the total has to be set to take the under. Is it 3.5? Or is that still too low?
  11. My 21 year old son texted me last night (unprompted), and stated: "After seeing the new Cardinals jerseys I am convinced I could be a graphic designer for a professional sports team. It's literally just a red jersey. No design. No twist. No "Arizona" anything. It's just red lol. What's the minimum number of years before another design change? Isn't it like 2-3?" I told him 5. He replied "Oh great lol" A - Which doesn't make it true B - You DO know that we aren't the common fan, right?
  12. They changed both. Silver flakes and a silver facemask. Logo is the 3-D version and enlarged.
  13. The next time I fumigate my house and tear it down and rebuild it over the course of two years, your example will be valid. They haven't been home in the Bronx for 100 years. The patch is fine - this is the 100th anniversary of Yankee Stadium. how they presented it was the issue, because they haven't been in that home (Yankee Stadium in the Bronx) for 100 years
  14. Counterpoint - the wordmark screams college and high school football. STATE TECH NORTH It isn't part of the NFL 'look'.
  15. @Silent Wind of Doom rather than just giving me a facepalm, is Flushing in the Bronx? I don't know, because I don't know enough about New York to know. If it is, I have less an issue with it, If it isn't, then they clearly haven't been there for 100 years. Yes, it would still be the 100th anniversary of Yankee Stadium, but not their home for 100 years, since they didn't play in it for all of that time.
  16. Was Shea Stadium in the Bronx? They played there for 2 years.
  17. If it is ONLY the patch, it's ok, because the patch is correct. Given the way they unveiled it with '100 Years at home' is wrong, because they haven't been 'there' for '100' years.
  18. It sort of IS one guy in New York, though. that's the problem. They try to run all replay through whoever that one person is at the moment (it was Alberto Riveron for a bit after Blandino left) in hopes of consistency. Assuming that two replays might happen at once, I'm sure there's some confusion and/or group talking that they wouldn't WANT to be heard. Keep in mind that this is an NFL function, not a TV function. FOX, ESPN, CBS, Amazon don't have their own replay 'decider', they just have their hired guns who say what they THINK the call ought to be.
