  1. The next time I fumigate my house and tear it down and rebuild it over the course of two years, your example will be valid. They haven't been home in the Bronx for 100 years. The patch is fine - this is the 100th anniversary of Yankee Stadium. how they presented it was the issue, because they haven't been in that home (Yankee Stadium in the Bronx) for 100 years
  2. Counterpoint - the wordmark screams college and high school football. STATE TECH NORTH It isn't part of the NFL 'look'.
  3. @Silent Wind of Doom rather than just giving me a facepalm, is Flushing in the Bronx? I don't know, because I don't know enough about New York to know. If it is, I have less an issue with it, If it isn't, then they clearly haven't been there for 100 years. Yes, it would still be the 100th anniversary of Yankee Stadium, but not their home for 100 years, since they didn't play in it for all of that time.
  4. Was Shea Stadium in the Bronx? They played there for 2 years.
  5. If it is ONLY the patch, it's ok, because the patch is correct. Given the way they unveiled it with '100 Years at home' is wrong, because they haven't been 'there' for '100' years.
  6. It sort of IS one guy in New York, though. that's the problem. They try to run all replay through whoever that one person is at the moment (it was Alberto Riveron for a bit after Blandino left) in hopes of consistency. Assuming that two replays might happen at once, I'm sure there's some confusion and/or group talking that they wouldn't WANT to be heard. Keep in mind that this is an NFL function, not a TV function. FOX, ESPN, CBS, Amazon don't have their own replay 'decider', they just have their hired guns who say what they THINK the call ought to be.
  7. It's way easier to do this when you don't have 8 games all kicking off at 1PM Eastern, and you can devote one person in charge of replay to only one game at a time.
  8. I was at the Marriott. Took a hike there this morning. Also no clues spotted
  9. Well, there are no spoilers in the Tucson airport. source - me right now
  10. As the ball spins, that becomes a white circle, making it easier for the receiver to focus on the point of the ball.
  11. I fly OUT of Tucson Wednesday. Missed it by *that* much
  12. Per the twitterverse (and @TruColor) the unveiling is next Thursday https://www.compare.bet/en-us/news/sources-arizona-cardinals-expected-to-unveil-new-uniforms-on-april-20-at-the-van-buren-in-phoenix
  13. No. Seriously. I liked both the Wranglers and Rattlers helmets.
  14. This continues to make me cautiously optimistic of a copper colored helmet.
  15. Sure, but unless it's the Cubs or Sox, I don't think people from Chicagoland are coming to Am Fam Field.
  16. I'm hoping that this is the helmet that is the winner - something in a copper color. I've always liked that color since the Wranglers used it, followed up by the Rattlers.
  17. If you gave the Nike-speak color names, would it be a problem? I'm thinking like your long ago game of Name that Color, where you would give us (for example) Safflower and we tried to ID the team and its color.
  18. Nike Outlet isn't a thrift store, but I found this for $20
  19. I searched for all the terms STOP REEL LINE MINT. It was in the NHL bad decisions thread
  20. Sort of how I feel about the whole situation
  21. Urban Meyer levels of ignorance. You play that role if that's what suits you.
  22. If you really don't know who Russell Okung is, you should never comment on anything involving the NFL again. I mean, he was no Ken Anderson, but still.
