My mindset was that if Vegas got a team, whomever ends up being the owner could try to buy the Viper name from the UFL if Dany and The Rock still have the trademark. I just typed that one up because I wasn't feeling very creative earlier today. I wasn't sure what other nicknames could've worked for Vancouver so I did a Bobcats/Hornets/Pelicans exchange with Memphis. How would this look for the Western Conference? At first, I was trying to avoid breaking up the California and Texas rivalries. In short, I based that initial lineup on what the NBA looks like currently in real life. Out of the alternative names, Cobras or Scorpions sound good. I thought maybe Gila Monsters could work too but not sure if the NBA is ready for a two word team nickname, haha.
