Quarantine project: NBA Redesign

Ok so the next team is the bulls, I decided not to change the home and away. The alternate is meant to commercialize on the success of the last dance and have a jersey for Chicago’s six championships. The city is inspired by cloud gate (or the bean). The throwback is from Jordan’s rookie year. Let me know what you think!

Magic look great as usual, when I was thinking of the magic for you to do those T-Mac era jerseys are the ones I had in mind, I absolutely love those. Another great concept, can't wait to see more. If you're still taking suggestions, maybe the Mavs next? Very dated current unis I'd be interested to see what you got for them. Great job with the series so far though

Ideally I think the alt should be a red version of the navy blue. Or the blue should be the alt. But the rest of the design is great. The cherry blossom look is interesting.

I made the alt a complete neon jersey, and the city jersey was made for the large Cuban population. Also I decided to include the Shaq/Wade throwback.

Thanks so much, I actually have about 3 or 4 teams ready to go, and the mavs (my hometown team) are one of them.

Dallas Mavericks:

Home and away are an updated version of their first set. Alternate is similar to the skyline jersey they had. City jersey is Dirk inspired, because for the past 20 or so years he was the mavs. The German flag is on the waistband. And for the throwback I decided to not throwback to the original jerseys, because I thought it would be too similar to the home and away, so I chose the Latin nights green jersey. Let me know what you think!

My eighth team, the spurs! I decided to bring back the diamond pattern and San Antonio wordmark, similar to their ABA days. I also added a simple Alamo above the wordmark. The city jersey has a sarape pattern down the sides, and a gothic font (I wanted to do something different than the fiesta concept I see all the time). Finally the throwback is to the chaparrals in the ABA.

Damnnnnn bro the Spurs look insane! My only problem with it is that the Alamo along with the nike logo and the word mark kinda clutters the top, but if you somehow worked out the spacing on that it would be a 10/10 set! I really love the work you've done so far, some amazing uniforms, the spurs grey alt and city edition are no different. wow

My next team, the hornets. I decided to keep the home and away pretty much the same, just with the addition of pinstripes (and the Charlotte crown on the shorts). I made a black alternate with pinstripes, and a nascar themed city jersey. The throwback is to the Bobcats. C&C is appreciated, and let me know what other teams you want to see!

The spurs are 10000 percent better than they are now. My only thing is you should have kept the font on the city the same and it still would have been original and different. The hornets are amazing as always, the city especially. Keep it up!!

Ok, let's see here. For the most part, these designs have been really good! Your inspirations are solid and despite the limitations of Paint/Gimp/whatever you're using the presentation is good. That said, I've gotta talk a bit about the Hornets. The home and away are a great start, but the pinstripes and pants could use a little work. Most people don't know this, but the pinstripes on the original Hornets jerseys were different colors for a reason: we had light blue for UNC, dark blue/purple for Duke, green for UNCC, and purple for the Hornets. These were consistent across both the white and teal jerseys. Additionally, the wordmark and names aren't nameplates, they were stitched directly onto the jerseys so they didn't interrupt the pinstripes. The pants are in a slightly different situation. The use of the crown isn't common in sports, only recently the city gave permission for the travel board to license it to private businesses. If you're going to use the crown, I'd rather see it on the (for lack of a better term) belt-buckle area of the pants and leave the sides blank like the old Hornets. The black is a no-go from the start. The Hornets aren't a black team, we weren't in the 90s, we shouldn't be now, and we should never be. Nobody in Charlotte actually calls the city Buzz City, we call it the Queen City because that's what it is. A purple alt using the pinstripes and reading "Charlotte" would have been better. The City is actually really good, I'd just change the wordmark from Hornets to Charlotte to represent the city itself. I could go either way on the Throwback, we don't really mention the Bobcats around here (in fact, they only get a small display in the stadium itself) and people aren't likely to be enthusiastic about throwing back to the tea we got as a consolation prize.

Thanks so much, I’m actually using photoshop, but I am pretty new to it. Advice on how to up my craftsmanship would be appreciated.

I understand the complaint about the black jersey, I just picked it because I thought the pinstripes would pop on a black background. I also was unaware of the hate for “buzz city”.

 

I picked the Bobcats uniforms be cause #1 It’s different than the throwbacks they’ve done recently, #2 I don’t want people to forget about them, they were one of the teams of my childhood (I’m pretty young).I remember getting Raymond Felton And Gerald Wallace basketball cards, and #3 I remember on their last game Chris Creamer tweeted something like “this is the last time you’ll see these uniforms until they’re throw back to them”.

 

Again thank you @QCS, you can obviously tell I’m not up familiar with most Of the aspects of the Hornets, (although I am a New Orleans Fan). I’ve updated the jerseys below,

These updates are perfect! Funnily enough, the Bobcats are technically my childhood team, but I didn't start following sports until the Hornets had returned. I wouldn't mind a Cats throwback as long as the pinstripes return full-time like in your concept. The pinstripes did pop on the black jersey, but I think black doesn't work very well for the Hornets and I think pinstripes on black is much more a Magic thing. Great work!

Team number 10, the thunder. I decided to not really retain anything from their current brand other than Navy and Orange, this is the first team where I really I had to design a new logo as well. The home and away have lightning down the sides, and the city jersey is Oklahoma! The musical themed (although I did consider a casino themed jersey). For a team with little history I decided to throw back to the 2008 summer league, before the team had a name. C&C is much appreciated.

Thunder look pretty good, but what if you moved the lightning bolt down to the shorts and left the sides of the jersey plain? Might clean up the jersey a little but and give the shorts some design. Maybe keep the ball feather logo on one side and a bolt on the other? I also really like the updates you did to the hornets, they make a big difference in the set. Good work

My next team, the raptors. I really like their current look, so I retained most of it just with a little 90s flair (jagged stripes down the sides, triangle above team name). The city is a more modern and less cluttered version of the purple dinosaur throwback. I decided to throwback to the late Vince carter era (and drake finals jersey). C&C is appreciated.

LOVE the thunder. Their current look is very outdated and I really like this direction for them. 
 

The raptors are a great mix of their uniforms throughout their history. My only thing is nitpicking but the purple isn’t really a city. Keep it up
