Phil
In a perfect world we'd see the Mets or Cubs and Red Sox in the World Series. George Steinbrenner's head would a splode, the Expos would return to their beautiful brand spanking new facility in downtown Montreal, and the Blue Jays would hire me as an identity consultant.Man, dreaming is fun... coming back to the real world not so much. pcgd
I think the best would have been this matchup....Cards Cubs in the NLDSYankees Sox in the ALDSand then either...Cubs Red Sox World Seriesor Cardinals Yankees World SeriesThe most successful AL team vs. the most successful NL team in terms of World Series wins or the two cursed teams.Anyway, no picks cause I'll just pick the cards to go all the way in the NL and the Sox to go all the Way in the AL. I let my personal feelings get involved too much, hense why I have Thomas Jones and David Terrell on my Fantasy football team! I've got tickets to game one, but stupid Bud made it a day game, so hopefully my boss will let me off work. Its me and the other designer going, so there would be nobody at the office except the new guy. We shall see. I was really hoping for a night game and then a night out on the Landing...oh well. If all works out it'll be an afternoon at the bars I've never seen a playoff game in person before. So I hope I get to go.
BaltimoreFan
well, if the Yankees get to the World Series and it goes 7 games I will be there because I have tickets to game 7 of the World Series. I also have tickets for tuesday game 1 against minnesota and game 6 of the alcs (again if the Yankees get there). Just a question, if the World Series doesn't go to seven games is it basically money wasted for you or do you get some kind of compensation? I bet you (a 100x100 pxl picture saying I was right/wrong) that the Yankees will not make the World Series. I don't speak for democrats, democrats don't speak for me. Your pitchers shut us down, and your bats killed our pitchers, ESPECIALLY Washburn. Good luck in the ALDS, and kick some Yankee ass for us.
