Waffles
my apologies if this has already been covered in one of the 52,000 other Washington Baseball threads...http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/artic...-2004Nov16.htmlNext up: An announcement to christen the team with a new name, expected to be the Nationals, is likely to come early next week, complete with the unveiling of a team logo and its red, white and blue color scheme, according to industry sources who requested anonymity because details are still being finalized. And all of these developments come as the team prepares to send e-mails today to those fans who have registered their interest in buying season tickets. Deposits for season tickets will be received beginning tomorrow.

TruColor
I still think I might know who's working on this, but they made me promise not to ask (!)...this person said that they're working on something huge, but can't say anything for a while. It's just my guess that it could be for Washington... Blackjack76
Pardon my ignorance, but who and/or what are the "Washington Nationals?"Technically, I didn't break my promise . . . Quick Cliffs Notes....MLB's Montreal Expos are relocating (most likely) to Washington, D.C., and the odds-on favorite for new team name is "Washington Nationals."Hope this helps. Lee.
Pardon my ignorance, but who and/or what are the "Washington Nationals?" They are, obviously, the travelling basketball team which regularly loses to the Harlem Globetrotters. Having finally realized they suck at basketball, they have decided to give baseball, the sweet science, a try.But enough of all this. What's this talk of the Jets moving? JamesCraven
That would be the Washington Generals who lose those rigged Globetrotter games. And what's this about the Hartford Whalers going to Carolina, hmm? rtrich11
The new logo should be fantastic, and they got a fresh, young, talent to design it. MLB wanted to follow the examples of the new ABA and NIFL by hiring the nephew of the commissioner's secretary. Jimmy Baumgart has told the press that the National's new look will "...be like, really cool and stuff." He plans to spend his $17,000 fee on a car stereo system and spoiler kit for his Acura. cafepress.com/artbyrichards
