New football helmets?

we all remember when the revolution football helmet came out a few years ago and how itwas kind of a big deal, but has anyone seen these helmets before? Look at the guy to the left of Parcells. WTF is that?

Somewhat similar to the ones introduced during the XFL-era.

It is the Schutt Sports DNA Helmet. Same principal as the Revolution with a more traditional look. Fielded to Schutt Elite College teams in 2003 and to all in 2004.

Same principal as the Revolution with a more traditional look.

I'm not sure its that much more traditional than the revolution, just doesn't have the raised center part that makes the revolution players look like aliens. I kind of like the ear holes though.

I wonder if / when we will start to see new helmet designs in MLB. Some of the molds for the youth / HS / COllege helmets are pretty dope.

Whatever is safest for the players is what I'm in favor of.

Now aesthetically speaking, that's another story. The one thing I liked about the Revolution is that the mask didn't swing back and cover a lot of the helmet. It left more room for the logos to stand out. This DNA has a mask that swings back to far that it becomes far too prominent. Dark helmets with white masks look really bad on a DNA, but not as bad on a Revolution.

Then on the Revolution you have that raised center part which curves around that also takes your eye away.

That's just me, though. As I said, whatever is safest is most important.

cool, i saw these during the Penn State games last year and didn't know who made em.

i may get around to vectorizing those much like my REV helmet, if they'll be in the pros.

I thought I was the only BG watcher on the board, considering I am a huge fan and all I thought I would share with you some photos of the aforementioned Omar Jacobs wearing this new-fangled helmet.

To be honest with you when I read that guy "seen" Omar wearing it I was going to call him out cause I , a massive BG fan hadn't noticed it. Thats how subtle it was this past season. Much less noticable than those other revolution helmets.

Anyway, as Mars Blackmon would say- "41 touchdown passes and only 4 interceptions??? It's gotta be the helmet, money!!!"
